Great, let's all dance around Taylor for a few weeks then let him slink off days before the Millwall game so we have to throw a new strike pairing together.

Yes he could score a few goals to help us stay up before he leaves, he's a good player but I hope Bowyer benches him
I wouldn’t even have him on the bench. Make a point. No one player is bigger than the team. He obviously doesn’t want to play so don’t play him. I’ve forgotten who he was anyway.
You obviously never saw Peter Garland
That last was definitely a lump lol!

  • Did he play yesterday in the Fulham match?
  • Chris Solly?
  • IF he is back, fit and willing, he MUST play .. I doubt very much that the rest of the squad will hold the recent upsets against him .. if there is any resentment, that will be up to Bowyer to manage

After Taylor scores the winning goal, the cardboard cut outs sing "one Lyle Taylor".

or 'one Paul Elliott, there's only one Paul Elliott .. wait a minute though' ((:>)
  • Can't believe nobody wants him to play so an oppo player can snap him in half.

    You're, mostly, far too forgiving.
    We're not Millwall.

  • Sell our soul? He’s a mercenary and we need to use him for our own means and then fuck him off
  • Don’t want Taylor anywhere near the place now. He’s made his bed. We are bigger than that. Point of principle.  If we go down we go down but I’d rather not sell our soul taking him back.
Selling our soul. How very dramatic.

I understand this sentiment .. to a certain extent .. it takes a man to stick to his principles, then again it takes a bigger man to sometimes admit his mistake and have a change of heart .. we'll never know what is the real truth and motive behind Taylor's reported UTurn, I'd like to think he has seen that he was wrong and is making amends.
As has been said above, if he starts and shows, shall we say, less than 100% commitment then he should be pulled .. as ever, we will see
  • I think he will play vs Hull and score
  • I can forgive anybody who admits their mistakes. Can't for one minute see Taylor doing that though. I hope i'm wrong

    For who?
  • Can't he sign a contract with his new club now? If he then get injured are July wages onwards down to new club not us???

And what club do you think would sign him up and then let him continue playing for us.
  • A club that really wants him and does not want another club to get him. Why do Prem clubs loan out players- always risk they get injured.

Prem clubs tend to loan out younger players to gain experience.
Or senior players coming back from injury to get match fit.
Whoever signs Taylor will in all probability want him straight in the team.
    Can't see it happening myself.
  • So, are we assuming Nixon has got it right now? Also that Taylor is signalling he is available for all remaining games and not just through to 30 June?
  • Play him for sure, I'd rather him play and help us stay up.. than try take the moral high ground, him not play and get relegated by 1 point.

He won't be going straight into any team until the 20/21 season starts, which won't be until late August at the earliest
  • Of course play him .

Everyone is commenting as if Nixon has it right this time. Has it been confirmed by either Taylor or the club?
