It’s a pen for me. Turns his back like a fanny and his arms out.
And that is the point - he has created a larger body shape by turning his back on the ball because it is virtually impossible to jump in the air with your back to goal with your hands down by your side.
So... Keep your arms in a natural position, just means you cant jump so high as they wont be out from your sidea - Players know how contentious the handball rule is, dont even create doubt for the referee to penalise you, same with the Accrington player that gave away the penalty to us
The problem (and what I dont like about the new rule changes still) is the fact that these rules are open to interpretation when it should be easy to make a good few of them black and white, would stop some sides from benefiting from a decision that another side might not get under another referee as its not a level playing field for all teams
34 times teams in European knock out matches have lost the first leg by two or more goals and never before have progressed.
OGS's record as United Manager is now Played 17 Won 14 Drawn 2 Lost 1 and that defeat was the first leg here.
The players have to take some responsibility for what happened under Mourinho but not as much as he does himself for not being able to get those players to play for him by continuing to adopt tactics from a decade ago.
That isn't right. Barca lost 4-0 in the first leg to PSG a couple of years ago but then went through by winning 6-1 in the return leg.

Absolutely nobody on here thought it was a penalty when it happened live.
Then VAR comes in and plays it at 1/8th the real speed and it makes the "offence" look calm and calculated. In reality, the ball has been hit so hard that the defender has absolutely no time to think.
I'm for VAR if it decides contentious decisions, but stopping the game randomly and checking completely innocuous moments like that ruins games.

Is the record not teams that have lost at least 2-0 at home and have had to go away to haul back the deficit? - i.e. Barcelona had the advantage of going back to the Nou Camp

To be fair game had already been stopped for the corner, plus there were about 10 yards between the two players

Think it was lost the 1st leg at home
Correct; was just confirmed in the interview with Rashford and Lukaku

Yes, apologies, that is correct as I missed out the bit about the first leg being at home.

I think VAR needs to not use or at least not rely on slow motion replays. it makes virtually every movement of the arm look deliberate

I can sort of see your point, but the way I look at it is this.
If the shot had been taken from the same distance from the defender, but he was on the line instead and deflected the ball over the bar with his ram, then would that not be a legitimate red card and penalty?
I am generally not a fan of VAR, but now we have it, we can't really complain that those in the VAR room notice things like last night.
On an unrelated note, I wouldn't rule out Lyon turning over Barcelona either, which would just about blow the UCL completely open.

"How can it be a handball when it hits his back!"
"This is a disgrace, they put four people that know nothing about football in charge of looking at the replay for VAR. There is no penalty,"
