Not ashamed to say I shed a tear at this one. Really moving tributes from a variety of media, unanimous in their expressions of the mark he made on people's lives.
He was a fabulous player, and a challenger for the nicest person in football (probably second). He wasn't perfect, he'd battled with alcoholism for example, but dignified throughout and, the tributes say, was genuinely concerned for and interested in everyone he met. And a tough but fair pundit.
Apparently he always answered 'Dangerously well' whenever someone asked how he was. If only. 61 is no age.
Rest in peace, Butch.

I heard this live on Talksport this morning. An amazing and moving story from an anonymous guy which really illustrates what a special human being Ray Wilkins was. Well worth listening. Guaranteed to choke you up.stackitsteve said:1 -
