I didn't dare to post on here in case I buggered it up but this was FANTASTIC !!!
What a brilliant, nerve jangling match for TV ! I watched every single ball, muttered to myself non stop ( Keep em out/get it away etc ) , kept my lucky pose until that final boundary ....and now it's a big glass of wine and a much needed visited to the loo !
Anyone up for getting tickets for Lords ? If you're not a member, is this likely to be impossible ?
Never been there so would be amazing to be there in person for our biggest match for a long time .
If tomorrow brings the best possible news from the Aussies, Fanny will be dancing in the street.....
....complete with sequined boob tube and hot pants
Tickets will be available through Kent. I suspect members will get priority but will go on general sale. Lords is a big ground so I wouldn't think getting tickets will be too difficult. I will keep you informed when they announce.
Wow and double wow!!! At 31 for 3 I thought the writing was on the wall but Rouse and Kuhn steadied the ship setting up the drama that was to follow. I thought that Blake's innings was pivotal as his big hitting changed the equation. He's a very underrated player IMO.
I noticed when Podmore came in Kuhn was smiling to himself as if there was nothing to worry about. My stomach was in knots until that last boundary. You could also see the young bowler Brown trying to keep his nerve when he got Kuhn out when everyone around him was going nuts knowing the job wasn’t done and this from a 19 year old. He looked gutted at the end.
Yes see they are available on Lords website. Doesn't seem any particular blocks set aside for the finalists whichis a bit surprising. For those who haven't been to Lords before I think the Grand Stand offers the best views. The front of the upper is great for views but not for bars. Lower is better for bars from my memory. Lower Compton and Lower edrich are not great imo. Mound stand is decent particularly if you want to avoid any sun.

You need to click on "Show more" and will find the stands where seating is allocated for the winner of our semi.
Checking with a couple of Addick pals to see is they'd like to join us before purchasing tickets.
Keep out of Edrich lower! Restricted view and bloody freezing. Best public seats are in the Compton and Edrich upper. Mound and Grandstand are too "side on".
Sat in the Lower Compton for a 50 over final in the 90s (which Kent lost). It was freezing there, though as it pissed down halfway through the day, there were some advantages for being under cover!

V Hampshire? I was there, play went over to Sunday. I was there too when Aravinda de Silva scored a cracking century v Lancs, we lost that too. I seem to remember David Fulton rather foolishly coming out to open the batting against Wasim Akram in a sunhat!

I was there for that one too. Procession of defeats in the finals at that time. Time to win one (I hope).
Wonder where we would be now without our two brilliant imports Henry (top overall wicket taker in the CC with 43 wickets @ 11.04 plus 16 wickets in the RL Cup) and and Kuhn (top run scorer in the CC for us with 313 runs @ 44.71 and 664 runs @ 94.85 in the RL Cup).
In fact, it could be argued that Kuhn and Henry are direct replacements for Coles and Northeast, the departure of which I, for one, would leave a massive hole. The difficulty will be replacing Henry for the time he isn't here this season and going forward.
Absolutely superb. Made up for the likes of DBJ, Stevens, Denly and Blake etc. Actually, made up for all of them. It would have been gutting for Heino if we had not got over the line after that knock. He would have probably blamed himself for getting out when he did. Blake is my favourite player. He is Kents Johnny Robinson without the moaning.......I guess.

Well done Kent!!
I imagine Kent will bring more fans, geographically and due to the lack of recent success
Think I’m going to splash the cash and get some £50 tickets.
Well played Kent. Extra fielding practice for us I think
Will investigate now.
