    Roan Lads...

I was in Nelson house (red of course)

    Drake was green?
    Wolfe was yellow?

One other house? Can't remember 40 years later, shameful.

Rodney was blue. I was in Rodney.

NB who the **** was Rodney ? :-)
Well, based upon the seafaring theme from Nelson, I assume it's this one: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/George_Brydges_Rodney,_1st_Baron_Rodney and at en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HMS_Rodney_(29)

Didn't they do education at your school :-)

    Invicta 67-69
    Sherington 69-73
    Roan 73-80

Exactly the same except a year or two earlier!
I too was in Rodney and remember a house meeting in the art room where Chalkie White asked if any of us knew who Rodney was. We didn't of course, so he proceeded to tell us at which point I, along with everyone else, switched off.
I think he was some sort of sailor, but couldn't be sure, nothing on Google or Roan website...

Did you know a Dave Evans from Eltham Green?
Yes. I was in quite a few of the same subject classes as him. His best friend was Chris Brown. They both liked to sit at the back of the room and be a double act.

Very noticeable the amount of older fans who went to schools around the Charlton area, and the distinct lack of the younger generation posting the same

I went there from '69 to '76 and I have this horrible feeling that I may have put you in detention when I was a prefect! I hated being one and I only ever nicked one person and I have suddenly realised it might have been you! That's why you looked familiar when I first met you!
Anyway sorry by the way but you probably deserved it ;-)
