Thanks for the heads up, I have just watched the Gove interview.
The newsthump article is uncanny in it's accuracy.
My dislike of Gove is admittedly somewhat irrational, but has that man any virtue either that we know of or is hidden? It worries me that I can find no reason not to smash the place up when he is on, and I need a reason, any reason, to help me calm down.

What I always have to question myself when I see Gove is whether my desire to thump him is down to the fact that he has a face that demands to be punched. Of course I can rationalise myself away from this base desire, but the problem is, he is such a git, he demands to be thumped for rational reasons too. Of course it is in my mind, I have actually met the turd a few times and resisted the urge!
    Indulge yourself

I do know he is hated more within the Tory party than he is anywhere else! Got that on good authority :)

    Uxbridge English Dictionary definitions

Stephen Fry's definition of "countryside" - to kill Piers Morgan

Very old Joke, Bernard Manning used to say it about Tommy Docherty in his act at The Embassy Club in the 70's.

What is very different about him is that when he interviews somebody, it is always about what he thinks rather than from a neutral stand point. Sometimes you might agree with him, sometimes he seems ill-informed, but I think he does often cross a line. It can be entertaining when he grills a politician and makes them uncomfortable, but I think he is getting worse and needs to check himself.
  • What makes Piers such a great interviewer is his lack of ego.

I thought the interview was what was expected. Nobody should be under any illusions that the only reason it was granted was because a) They're friends and b) Trump agreed in advance to all of the questions topics.

Piers is extremely vocal on gun control and would've pushed a member of the NRA or anyone else until he was blue in the face (rightly so) but with Trump he just accepted his answer, let himself down there. Same with the sexual harassment allegations.

Trumps views on climate change and guns are moronic at best, dangerous at worst.

Like a semen filled football sock that has been crushed to fit up a fat man's anus for a few months then retrieved along with a thatch of rectal hair and left on a sideboard to dry

He will end up with nobody wanting to appear on his show. I even feel sorry for people I don't like, even Michael Gove, when he interviews them he basically doesn't allow them to speak and just spouts his opinion constantly talking over them.

I totally disagree. He gets more information from his guests than any other interviewer/chat show host.
  • He’s just going down the Trump/Farage route of spouting ‘controversial’ nonsense to keep himself current.

Knows that if he says something relatively controversial he will get attention.

    A sad man.

On a serious note (my description is valid, he's a disgusting man) I genuinely don't know how he has got the gigs he has. He is toxic as a journalist who set up and doctored false images of prisoners being mistreated by squaddies. I can't believe he's not constantly reminded of this and besides trying to indignify him like this there are people who have done a lot less who has been cast out of the public eye. He's a disgrace of a human being

I like him because he stirs up the current shit pot of journalism that perpetuates institutions like the BBC
It comes to something when I am forced to choose GMTV and Morgan over Aunty Beeb.
I dislike him because of the fabricated pix of the soldiers.
I am sure he will get what he deserves further down the line.
