If he was an Addick, and said the same about Charlton/Robinson, anyone on here who said he was in the wrong would be slaughtered, and rightly so...

That's a fatuous argument though - I'm vehemently opposed to capital punishment but wouldn't feel the same way about the perpetrator if any of my loved ones' was murdered.
Only on CL - a football fan calls for a manager to be sacked and within a few posts its aligned with murder and execution.
Not just CL is it...not too far removed from regime criticism getting likened to terrorism!

Football don't half do your head in sometimes!

Would love to see Hartlepool stay up, if only for those brilliant fans and the two years they ended the season at our place

So much respect for Jeff being able to do this whilst seeing his team relegated - Know I couldnt!!

Credit to him as well for paying respect to Newport too

Pleased for Newport, fan owned club and for Lennie Lawrence whose been working there.

If only Lennie had been given the DOF role at Charlton that was on the cards.

    Gutted for Hartlepool too.

Horrible. I desperately wanted things to go Hartlepools way for those fantastic fans who visited The Valley a few years back and for Jeff too. I will be rooting for them next season for a swift return.

Amazing support Portsmouth have retained through the last few years.

As a side note I do feel sorry for Newport.

Just watch the moment they score the winner and how Stelling | Le Tissier | Merson all react when Newport go 2-1 up.

Fair enough for Stelling to be biased but for the whole studio...

gutted for Hartlepool, having said that, Newport are my third team, girlfriend is from there, and I was really hoping they would stay up. Shame it was at the detriment of Hartlepool, great bunch.

Trouble with League Two is there are a lot of historical or plucky little teams that I'd hate to see relegated out of the Football League so wouldnt be happy with whoever went down.

Only teams I'd probably be less bothered about are Mansfield (because I dont like Evans) and Colchester

All you need is to get Lennie Lawrence on board and you are laughing.
He certainly seems to know his stuff. I dont think that bloke will ever be out of a job.
  • Mate of mine was thinking of buying Newport this season, wonder if he will go back in for them now they have stayed up. Well done to them, shame for Pool.
