Don’t want to be negative but we’ve been bought by ESL, and Sheikh with the very long name is a major shareholder. that doesn’t mean he’s gonna spend his own 18 billion fortune.
I’d settle for being a stable club that has a competitive budget I can see us being a premier team again with with their cash, and the rest will be a dream if it happens.
With all due respect to my old mate, I think you might be right (in the sense that these new buyers seem to be ridiculously minted)! Can't wait til tomorrow!
By the way, anyone who entered the Roland Departure Prediction competition.... 1st: 02/12/19 @CafcSCP Runners Up: 18/10/19 @CH4RLTON 08/01/20 @Alwaysneil Many congrats to @CafcSCP !
Can’t wait to get down the Valley tomorrow!! Win lose or draw, We’ve got our Charlton back!!
Not sure where you sit, but in theory I could present you with your prize. In Crossbars?
I doubt this takeover would have happened if we were sitting in the top 3 so the recent injury induced slump has been a blessing so I’d like to thank those teams for beating us and for any millwall boys reading - particular you - the latest defeat was painful at the time - as they always are but very much helped this to happen - thankyou for your part in making us the richest club in the world - thankyou
I have proudly not posted ONE comment on any takeover thread prior to today as the constant let downs, false dawns , bullshit etc wound me up. Today I can post and be free !!!!! Can't wait to get back to the Valley for every home match with my Son. Been through a lot with this club but never boycotted before, even had a season ticket at sell***** and W. Ham.

Sounds good to me! I’d be happy just to meet the legend that is James seed.
It still hasn't sunk in yet, can't wait to get to The Valley tomorrow so it can finally engrain into me the old scrote has actually gone!
Even if we don't see the cash splashed early surely the days of signing the likes of Josh Parker in the January window are finally over (no disrespect to Josh) and instead we can look to re-sign Grant, Aribo, make Cullen permanent and do some business that will at least keep us in the league for a real go at promotion next season.
All very encouraging so far, I do wonder if this is the bid @Redhenry said excited him?
Is anyone on here who in the past has criticised Man City's oil money, or the questionable human rights record in the UAE etc etc that bothered now this is happening?
Nope, didn't think so!
Bring it on. I expect at least a 15m outlay on new signings in January.
Yes, me for one.
Am I pleased Roland's gone? Of course. Am I hoping our new owners aren't complete shits? Ditto.

Unfortunately you'll just get me :-(
Could meet at half time? And would you like The Jimmy Seed Story, or Soccer From the Inside?
Sponsorship is the only way we can spend big?.Bigger crowds and buying clubs abroad get the Charlton name out there again.I went Turkey and not a single Cafc fake shirt.
Our man’s only got £19bn but he’s part of a family that have £150 billion - that’s 5 times richer than man city’s owner - as takeovers go, this one is ticking all the boxes for me

I thought the main guy at City has £22billion and his family £1trillion?.
Roland’s gone. New owners on the face of it look exciting but so far all we have is a statement that’s pretty standard for any incoming new owners of a football club. It’s a sad reality these days but it’s going to be money that talks. We have a old manager of that I’m sure but the last eight games have proved that The Championship is very tough. Bowyer needs supporting and I’m convinced we will push on. The proof of the pudding is in January.
London location with reasonable transport links AND a growing local population Reasonably modern ground with corporate facilities and scope to expand - The Valley is still superior to all the other midsized London grounds, and doesn't need the vast sums spending on it to expand and modernise that Craven Cottage and Selhurst do, or complete relocation like Loftus Road Reasonable training ground with a plan to modernise it Well regarded academy Relatively nice image The memory of Premier League football - there will be people who can be attracted back
In addition we also offer thanks to Bowyer, Gallen and co
A proven coaching and recruitment team A passionate fanbase and growing crowds And most of all CHAMPIONSHIP FOOTBALL with a realistic chance of reaching the Premier League in a sensible timescale. It's no coincidence that our buyer seems to be a in a completely different league to the sorts of buyers after us in L1.

Should add that I’m over the moon with the takeover!
