New Song? I've not read all the posts yet (but I will as in pub now) so apologies if somebody came up with this before me. How about "Easy Street" (East Street) from Walking Dead? I'm sure some Charlton singers can come up with a few Charlton lyrics to fit in before tomorrow?
I can’t lie, 2019 has been a particularly crap year (apart from one day in May) and I was willing to hibernate for the rest of it. Day 333 you’ve turned it all around you beautiful period of twenty four hours you.
Get the fuck in!
It’s the calendar equivalent of getting the winner with 6 seconds remaining!
Coincidentally I bought tickets for tomorrows game at the behest of my wife yesterday. I was resigned to be an incomplete boycotter! But now I have tickets for what will hopefully be a party and a half.
Poor old Rossman, nearly the right week to come to see Charlton.
When I was about 20, I was told that a party would go on all night. I turned up at midnight just as it was finishing because the parents came home. I've been out all morning and just tuned in. I feel like I've missed the party, but amazing news...........
What a day to be out all afternoon/early evening without the phone as left it in the shop to have a new battery fitted. When I picked the phone up I think the repair man must have been a bit shocked as I shouted "yes" quite loudly; the first thing I saw was a Whatsapp message with the news! Perhaps he thought I was excited that the new battery was working.
@Rossman92 put the finishing touches to it all during his visit
I feel sorry for Rossman. Surely, one of the biggest premature comings in history.
Lol unlucky with the timing, but it feels good to know that when we win the Champions League in a couple years that I'll have been here through some shit with all of you, unlike the gloryhunters that will come a knocking
East Street name shows they know their history. Now will the EFL play ball so it can all be officially signed and sealed on December 5th? So exciting. Stranded on the west coast of Scotland tomorrow but already have tickets for Middlesbrough and will book up for Hull too. Roll on the Charlton Christmas party!
So a little more on ESI's deal for Charlton. They will own The Valley and the training ground. Process of getting EFL approval for their takeover is already underway. Steve Gallen would not be on new board - neither would Richard Murray. Gallen continues as head of recruitment.
The first thing East Street Investments are looking to do when they take control (the takeover needs EFL approval) is secure Lee Bowyer on an extended contract. And the second thing....is to do the same with Lyle Taylor.
And the entire family are thought to be worth in the region of a further $150 Billion!
And the sole director of ESI manages a football fund of £350 million. As we don't know any details of who actually is financially backing it, and to what extent, we shouldn't get too carried away.

Just seen this. What a day.

Assuming this is the bloke there's an interview with him here from October last year.

Have we been taken over by a Dustman?
Not sure I like the sound of this.

This is Charlton after all
Bollocks to that, we are richer than Man City
Just keep everything crossed that there's no wicked stepmother/father to spoil the plot.
Keep asking Mr F to pinch me.....after I wake him up.
He's ever been so excited ! :-)
