If these so called buyers are quibbiling over the price then I do not want them to buy the club. The difference between 40 and 60 million is neither here nor there when they are going to have to fund losses of 10 million a year just to keep the team standing still, if they can not afford to do this then we are better off with out them.
Shaun Harvey heads up the EFL. I'm sure it's not difficult to work out his email address.
What exactly would he do?
Look at the mess at Blackpool and the EFL have done absolutely nothing. This was a comment when they met with Blackpool fans.
"The meeting began with Harvey issuing an overview of the EFL, what it is and what its main objectives are - a presentation that lasted almost 30 minutes. He then outlined the background to the Owners’ and Directors’ Test and explained why Owen Oyston is considered fit and proper to own a club, while Belokon is currently banned under the EFL’s rules. Harvey made it clear the test only seeks to determine eligibility, not capability.
If they see no reason to kick convicted rapist Oyston out, we've got no chance with Roly.
Thats fine but in our cases if its clear the owners are asset stripping and completely cutting costs like what Roland is doing (and not due to avoiding Administration) then the EFL should be able to freeze any transfer dealings out of the club until they conduct their club properly again
Think the Aussies should just fuck off now , look how much grief they are before they’ve even bought the club
These are my favourite type of posts.
Why are the Aussie's grief?
Are the 'British consortium' also grief as well, because if they do indeed exist, they seem to equally be struggling to get a deal through?
What would be the benefit to Charlton now if the Aussie's were to fuck off?
Why, considering Charlton has been openingy up for sale for a couple of years now, is it taking so long for anyone to buy us?
For me personally, not knowing any inside information or to be honest have an understanding how a football club takeover works, lays the blame solely on Roland. He has managed to fuck everything else up at this club in his wierd and wonderful ways, so I am definitely more inclined to believe he is the reason behind the protracted take over as well.

The difference between £40 and £60 million is as you put it two years losses. That’s not insignificant by anyone’s reckoning.

Agree with that, but the difference between £40m and £47m is a bit more workable (assuming that is one of the sticking points, not sure what Harvey Gardener thinks?), specially if they could've come to a deal and then it becomes even more insignificant, looking at the bigger picture

Something weird going on. Been a growing number of posts on this thread attacking the aussies and telling them to pay millions more than the club is clearly worth or walk away from posters with very little posting history.
Before going off on one about the Aussies @tony1234 it's worth remembering that clubs are bought and sold all the time, sometimes fairly quickly, sometimes not so quickly, and the only reason we're going into meltdown is that Roland is our owner.
Every day he owns us is another day of misrule, stagnation and unfullfilled potential. Were he just a bit crap as an owner we'd have more patience, but the fact that he's much worse than that isn't the Aussies fault.
And the reason for the delays? Well various possibilities have been put forward, any of which might be correct, but until we know for sure, let's all try get along, and cut out the vitriol.
Still dont get the hatred towards the Aussies. What have they done that is so bad? We need to remember that Roland is involved which will make the entire process a drawn out mess.
Using buying a car as an example, you go to a show room, look around, put in an offer, negotiate and agree the price. Put down a deposit and agree a timescale Of say 3 days to sort insurance, paperwork, tax, garage to service and clean etc. Then collect and drive away.
If Roland was selling the car, he wouldn’t take it off the market once a price has been agreed, he wouldn’t realise it needed tax and insurance, lost the mot paperwork etc. All of a sudden, two weeks instead of 3 days!!!
Has any here bought a football club? Has any here bought a football club off of Roland? I’m equally as frustrated at the time taken but I’m blaming Roland and his merry band of f**ktards and nobody else. He didn’t realise he owed directors £7m! Surely that has put a major spanner in the works time wise.

Just to be a pedantic dick , the difference between £40 and £60m is £59,999,960
For several weeks I have been watching the comments on this thread about page number milestones. Would the sale go through by page 1000? Page 1100? Page 1111? Obviously each of these were passed without a change of ownership.
But it struck me that the important milestone - for me, at least - is closer to home. I now have 9,251 CL points. 749 more and the sale will go through.
FACT.
Update: 9,425 now. So we are only 575 CL Points away from the deal going through. FACT.

I’m on holiday in Spain , was a bit worse for drink when posted
