    Here we go!

I wonder if any Arab kids have recently enrolled at @JamesSeed ‘s school?!
It was a state school, so i suspect not.

Just sitting in the departure lounge at Leeds Bradford airport waiting to fly out for a week of Greek sun and just wandering if the sale will be done before I return. Think there's more chance of spotting Zeus supping a Mythos in a taverna if I'm honest.

Any chance @JamesSeed can pester GM, this is getting silly now.

I did get a message late last night which implied the next few days may well be critical for the Aussies’ bid.

    Doesn’t sound promising, does it.
  • Why on earth couldn’t Roland just build into the sale that he gets the sell on fee for Lookman whatever it is and whenever it is. Why would it necessarily need to hold up any sale of the club ?

Would that be third party ownership? Although he did it with Batshuayi.
Can’t see it being third party ownership as Lookman is an Everton player and monies due are contractual between two clubs.

  • Few : Not many but more than one. Could be as low as two but no upper limit as this might depend on the number of what the few was of.

If you do mate, introduce him to 'Fix'. Much better in my opinion.

In the middle of reading Stephen Fry's Mythos, and think he would more likely be supping Ambrosia.

If you do see Zeus can you ask if it's true that Roland is one of Erebus' henchman, half rat half and snake with yellow fangs sent by Typhon, a Crystal palace supporter, disguised in human form, to destroy Charlton Athletic in revenge for sending his club down in 2005.

Not wanting to sound harsh as you kindly helped me with pub for Saturday's game, but I don't think that post is helpful. If GM had told you something then either share it all or keep it to yourself......cryptic messages are what is killing us & keeping us going round in circles.

Isn't that what he's just done? I didn't see anything cryptic.

Next few days are critical. It's not like he's posted some witch riddle over a cauldron.

I have no inside info but my guess is that the Aussies are holding up the deal and who can blame them. RD must want rid, he’s losing money month by month and will struggle to get another offer anywhere near this one. The Aussies hold all the aces IMO
As for the delay causing the Aussies grief, I believe @JamesSeed previously mentioned that GM told him that they weren’t bothered as they are in for the long haul

If they hold all the aces then they are playing a very bad hand imo. Season starts in 5 days time & transfer window shuts in 10 days time. Roland is selling players for peanuts & as it stands our front line on Saturday will be a player loaned out last season & the other a youngster who hasn't scored a league goal in his career. If they are playing "the long game" then someone had better tell them that it has taken us 3 years (and counting) to get out of this league.......it will take a damn sight longer than 5 to even get into the Championship from league 2.

As I said last week, I don't who is worse.......Roland or the Aussies.
Well, let me help. One has fucked up the club for four years and the others bought a scarf in the shop.
@Airman Brown You’ve been pretty quiet over the last few weeks. I’m pretty sure you’ve heard things that are going on in the background. Any chance you can chuck us a bone to chew on until the next instalment if this saga?
Nothing to add on the Aussies but there is new interest from elsewhere.

Bit of a dilemma, because he’s not happy to have every word shared, which is why the messages were drying up. So what I posted wasn’t cryptic, it was the gist of it.
Happy to not post if it’s doin’ yer ‘ead in, as we used to say back in the day.

Mostly Mythos and Alpha with an occasional Fix, where I'm heading for the next two weeks and if I consume enough, all of this might begin to make some sense!!!

    Then again.......................... :-(

This group has probably been around for some time, but might have been freshened up with a new backer. I agree that that could well be why the Aussies haven't completed- because Duchatelet is hoping for a higher bid. Absolute disgrace if true, and whoever is behind it should hang their head in shame.

I was working near The Valley today so popped in for nose around. The most eventful thing I saw was a white cat having a crap in the car park, which probably sums things up.

There were no posh motors in the car park, so no one of note is in and we don't have a SMT anyway.

An unsubstantiated rumour from a member of staff; A fan came in and told them that everything is sorted but just waiting for Roland to sign off to complete the takeover.

I thought nothing of that until reading on here that there are new interested parties. So is Roland not signing off in case the new bids are better!

No - tight as a drum this time.

Seems quite a few people are interested in the Aussie paperwork, it would appear that both personal and electronic approaches have/are being made from several quarters and the EFL are getting twitchy, particularly after the Sunderland info was released before the official statement.
    So it's still ongoing then?
Not as far as he's aware. He confirmed two weeks ago that the two issues had been resolved and as far as the information he had, there were no issues regarding CAFC and the fit and proper persons test.

He is getting this information second hand from the compliance team.

I'm confused is this just in regards to the CAFC takeover or other takeovers in general
Also the several quarters, is this just from the Aussie consortium?
The suggestion was they are getting a lot of pressure from Charlton fans - though this could mean CAFC and the Aussies as well.

It also sounds as though someone has tried to hack their systems.
