I think we will have to wait until Mike Ashley sells up
You people are bonkers if you want Ashley. He demands the club BREAK EVEN, which is even worse that what Roland demands. Ashley is ranked as a worse owner than RD is in every article that attempts to rank bad owners. He got his club relegated twice. Much like RD recently, he only allows his manager to spend money in the transfer market after he first sells someone off the team. For three straight windows he has lied to his manager about allowing him to spend money in the transfer window. And he named the stadium after his pet company and owns it primarily as a marketing arm for his company. We would be named Sports Direct Valley, with his banners verywhere and none of that money would be spent on players. He never attends matches. He would be a disaster.
Must be terrible getting relegated and then immediately promoted again because of the massive amount of money spent on players. I didn't see Roland stumping up Matt Richie money when we were in the champ
Not true. He spent less on players in The Championship than he did they year they were relegated. Spending on players went down. It was a case of parachute money saving the day. That and the fact when you average 57,000 per match in the second division, it gives you a big spending advantage. Ashley gets no credit for attendances.

I think the fact that the Aussie turned up in the crowd and was waving a scarf and hailed as the new messiah and sky announced that new owners were waiting to take over - had us all thinking that the RD would be gone in a couple of weeks.. and let’s get the players in and get out of league for most has soured the start of the season and maybe all of it for us ....
Their Silence is deafening and I don’t go along with due diligence ...at least release one statement
Be good to know who is buying and selling the players
Roll on Saturday week and beat Sunderland and get the season started

Another couple of hundred pages of fish puns (some good work, some must try harder). And more pointless digs aimed towards @JamesSeed for trying to be helpful and sharing what information he has. Have I missed anything?

Certainly mugged themselves off there in my opinion. Way too premature and naive if they really felt it was over the line. It almost smacked of arrogance if I was totally honest.
Still, not like an Aussie to be bold and brash that's for sure.
No Deal this side of Christmas, think Aussies are " Wheel kickers" ! Happy to avoid relegation!
You might have something there. I reckon Roland has blocked them from bidding ebay-style and all the negotiations are justvto get him to allow them even though their feedback score isn’t good enough (they’ve never bought a ham-fisted football club before)
Fingers still crossed for Redhenry's lot, to come to our rescue at the 11th hour !!!
I wouldn't mind. So long as someone buys the club, I'm happy. Even though it means I don't get the padded seat in the directors' box that is of course my birthright :-(

Why don't you have the seat now?
Because I can't afford it. And they'd throw me out if I could!
When I speculated the delay was nothing to do withRoland, ex Directors or loans, you made a point of highlighting that bit and said “not so”. But if you know for a fact that this is not the case, you must know something you have not shared.
Not every comment I’ve made is based on something he told me. I have a couple of other sources who send me info because I’ve shared my GM info. I don’t remember that ‘not so’, or the context, and the only thing I heard from GM about pre May 18th delays was they they were from issues dating from before the Duchâtelet era.
I’m not holding anything back about the negotiations, trust me.
Have read before that issues go back to before Duchatelet era,THINK Airman Brown mentioned as far back as 2010 …… please correct me if i am wrong.
Is it not disconcerting that the Aussie takeover is taking this long to complete? Surely this doesn't set a good precedent for the future. I'm sure i'm not alone here, but i'm not getting a great feeling about this.

Unless they've got some sandpaper down their trousers! (That one for cricket fans of course)!
Must be time for another false dawn. We haven't had one of those for several weeks. A false dawn, followed by a lunar eclipse would make it quite a day.
Also according to the bastion of truth that is the club another party are still involved, if it was all down to the Convicts drawing this all out then surely somebody else would have got it done in the meantime. For that reason it has to be the club is a mess and Roland is a bit and the Australians are mad for persevering.
