So many false dawns, cryptic comments, broken promises over these last 18 months than in the previous 57 and a half years. I desperately want Duchatelet to go, but have no confidence whatsoever that the Australians are the right people to succeed the Belgian. If there is a second bidder, the supposition is that Murray is involved, the same Murray who lumbered us with Dowie purely to piss off Simon Jordan. This is my last post on Charlton Life. I have not renewed my season ticket. Charlton have lost another loyal supporter. I doubt I will ever return.

I would guess it is because he knows one of them That has said repeatedly, at least once to his face, that they are all we hope for. In his situation I think we would all want to believe if not 100% believe.

Yes, but that is irrelevant as in 2 weeks, when the transfer window closes, Roland has to fund the monthly loses while the Aussies can sit back and watch the money drain out of Staprix. They are in control now.
But the longer the takeover is delayed, the worse state the club will be in. There's a massive difference between buying a club in June, and planning for promotion and buying one in September with a season of struggle ahead, especially if they have a 5 year plan. If the 5 year plan turns into a 6 year plan as a result, how does that benefit the Aussies financially?

Then mid table league 1 is the best we can hope for. No strength in depth,injured players already. Its so frustrating, this club has so much potential and for one reason or another,every season is the same. Christ knows what we've done as fans of Charlton to warrant such shit times but im just sick of it. Sad.
What If the takeover does finally happen? Say end of August. I’m sure it will create a good buzz around the place. We still have the January window to make a big push for promotion. I also believe we have a much better manager this season who can get the best out of our players.
If it happens the wait will have killed of some of the excitement. Due to the time it's taken there will be a lot more fans having doubts about the Aussies, whether that's fair or not. Looking across social media over the last few weeks I've seen more comments blaming them for the delay or doubting they'll be good for the club.
Well from what James has said they have a five year plan to get us to the premier league. Think we have to hold onto the hope that it will happen.

If you have supported Charlton for 59 years you have spent about 45 of those years supporting a team with no ambition and selling players as soon as a decent offer came in, Or in Paul Walsh and Paul Elliott's case, modest offers.
Don't blame you for walking away but don't delude yourself that this current impasse is unique in Cafc history because so many dodgy moments have happened, this was fairly predicable from Duchatelet's first week in charge.
