We played very well in first half and Konsa is one of the very best youngplayers we have ever had.
How did Watt mis that open goal. 2 nil up, game over.
I thought JJ was very poor at LB and was lucky a couple of times when well beaten. Why oh why did we not put DeSilva on? Was that not why he was on the bench?
I would have put the guy on up front. We needed someone to hold it up a bit, but Ido not think it wouldhave mademuch ddifference.
I think we played really well in the first half, but Watt is not good enough to lead the line.
Ref letalot go. 5 handballs for instance and not one given. He seemed a bit confused throughout.
Substitutions were all wrong for me, If he didn't fancy bringing on Dasilva then Tex should have come on, Konsa to LB. Novak for Watt and maybe Botaka for Holmes. Horribly exposed down the left with KR's choices and we all knew they would score. I expected more today for some reason but shouldn't be surprised really, play offs gone now I feel.
Novak looks like a striker for a Sunday morning pub team. He came on and gave nothing.
A game we controlled comfortably until the linesman injury and it all changed thereafter.
First 65 minutes we looked like a play off side.
Chicksen had a mare by his standards but will give him the benefit.
Byrne completely disappeared second half and should have been subbed off on 60 or earlier - give one or two of the young lads on the bench a bit of time to run at them - that's what was needed.
I like KR but today was all about the substitutions and he got it so, so wrong.
Anyway, we are going in the right direction. Some real positives in Konsa, Aribo and an ever improving Crofts who really has become an important part of the team.
Rudd is quality, Solly superb, Watt is getting fitter and we're not losing.
Still really disappointed as we should have had them.
Rosler's celebration for their goal was so pitiful that I found myself shouting at the top of my voice as he went through his war dance, 'Have you seen that tw*t over there' I yelled - apologies to those around me as there were kids present.
They took defend in numbers to heart, didn't think we'd get through tbh and was pleased we did, really thought that was shaping up for a 0-1, hung on for a point ,I hadn't heard of them until a few years ago, happy days.

Good game, shame we could not hang on.
Flag was up for offside. He should have still hit the target though!
Thanks Roland, for bringing so much happiness to SE7 in the 3 long years you've owned us.
Not blowing my trumpet but I actually predicted a 1-1 on Friday. To be fair we played some great stuff (well, first half anyway) but when Chicksen went off (as has been mentioned on here) it seemed to disrupt the balance.
Still trying to fathom out why we stopped playing in the second half and Fleetwood certainly deserved something out of the game. We certainly didn't deserve more than a point. Trouble is we are so one-dimensional when Big Mac is out of the side.
Watt still lets himself down. I know he was often on his own, but when things don't go for him, he goes into a sulk.
Their keeper didn't have to make a save the whole game. Oh well, looks like our season is going to "be a disaster" - well according to that most successful of managers Rossler anyway!

Draw probably a fair result.Ref yet again did us no favours!Still feel Tony Watt will behind Big Mac will make a difference,We shall see.A win next week and we are still right in with a chance.COYR
What are these signs of improvement you are seeing @KINSELLA7? Genuine Q as I am struggling to look beyond:
- mid table in League One - squad too thin and over reliant on loans - poor disciplinary record - dwindling crowds - growing debt
Don't understand why you're concerned with the growing debt? That's the owner's problem and from what I understand it is loose change to him. Why are we concerned with his private financial arrangements?
Just corrected the 'we can't defend mob'. You actually mean 'we can't score'. Only 2 teams have a better defensive record than us. There is no doubt the team is improving. I predict we won't lose again this season. I also predict Watt will not come good. We will beat Millwall to the last playoff place and go up via Wembley. Palace will get relegated and we will see this as a good season.

Watts 'miss' was flagged for offside and wouldn't have stood. But still a poor execution.

It's not private financial arrangements. It is what the club is saddled with. Makes us less attractive to buy and always a risk that he stops funding/ pulls the plug / dies and we are left in serious financial trouble.
Also a big chunk of the debt is due to the owner's incompetence - lengthy contracts for rubbish players plus declining income because so many fans are staying away.

Ha, I missed that. You Should still have put it away though. His lack of any prowess in front of goal is a worry to me. Could have worked harder in fron of JJ as well and was a big part of our late collapse IMO.
Missed it today as under the weather with a heavy cold / flu.
The most important thing about the match today as far as I'm concerned was the tribute planned for young Liam Meadows. Hope it went well and both the applause and Valley Floyd Road were loud and proud.
Always disappointing to concede late on but I thought it was a fair result in the end, given that they created several decent chances in the last 20 minutes (including the 10 minutes of added time).
A low key first half, during which Fleetwood were content to sit deep, with everyone behind the ball, and challenge us to break them down by attempting to play intricately through them. That approach was probably motivated by both the absence of Magennis (or another big man) up front - thereby limiting our options offensively - and a hope that we would become discouraged and blow ourselves out, whilst they conserved energy for the later stages.
The goal shortly before half time changed the dynamic and we started the second half very well, without creating anything in the way of clear cut chances, given our lack of cutting edge. Tony Watt lashed one over from close range but was offside anyway.
You always felt that we'd pay for the failure to score a second goal and, as the game entered the latter stages, we seemed to run out of gas and were unable to retain possession in the way we had done earlier. That is, to a degree, probably a consequence of having a number of players who either haven't played much football this season or who are returning from injury. The net result was sustained heavy pressure on Rudd's goal and in the end we cracked.
There were certainly some positives to take from the game. For most of it, we were the better side and there was some very good combination play, much of it involving the languid and very classy Aribo. Good players always seem to have more time on the ball. Konsa also had a good game and it was good to see Ricky Holmes back.
On the negative side, our energy levels dipped alarmingly in the second half and I thought that our defending throughout from corners was p. It was no great surprise that Fleetwood's equaliser came from that source and I can't recall us winning a first header from any of them.
We're still a work in progress but, as ever, are falling a little way short and I can see no realistic prospect of making the play-offs. One sensible thing that Karl Robinson did say in his ill-judged his post-transfer deadline homily was that our recruitment for next season must start now. One can only hope (against expectation) that his words do not fall on stoney ground. Thin and undermanned squads do not win promotion.
What are these signs of improvement you are seeing @KINSELLA7? Genuine Q as I am struggling to look beyond:
- mid table in League One.............. if you remember a little while back we were hanging around the relegation area - squad too thin and over reliant on loans.................. loans are normal these days and we do get some from the premier - poor disciplinary record .......................................can't argue with that but probably a blip, so long as KR gets the passion with more control - dwindling crowds sure.................. but will improve if we start winning more than drawing and just take a look at the other grounds on the highlights...even the championship - growing debt .................................. this should please you if it makes Roland more willing to sell
I think he is referring to the improvement in Public Relations - have to say a huge improvement & I am very proud of the way we are now being manipulated into believing how wonderful everything is...marvellous stuff
you don't believe the PR any more than I do. But I have said all along that the continuing and obsessive but puny hostility of some fans is a complete waste of time. A man like Roland is just egged on by this to keep to any plan, misconceived or not, that he has.
Too negative in the second half, let them have too much of the play. It looked inevitable that they would score especially when 10 went up on the board. Most of that was due to the ref faffing around, for example he walked all the way to their player who was hobbling off with the trainer to get the captain's armband off him. The sending off looked justified to me, high tackle to stop a counter-attack. We seem to have some flair in the team now in midfield but a bit light up front.

At the risk of being called an apologist, it's not bank debt so there's no legal obligation to pay it back.
The "debt" will presumably be factored into the sale price of the club and will be agreed with the next owner. It's a game of chicken, if he's desperate to sell he'll have to write some/all of it off.
More concerning for me is the length of contracts given to poor players. Naby Sarr is under contract for another 3.5 years!

It may be a "complete waste of time" to you - thankfully there are many out there committed to opposing this regime & actively doing something about it.
Unless you enjoy being patronised, manipulated & lied to by a group of paid sycophants hanging grimly on to an arrogant, stay-away owner - while the club wallows in L1 mediocrity - you will thank the obsessive, puny & hostile fans that finally one day drive them out of our club.
Credit to Fleetwood although they had players of lesser ability than ourselves they were more of a team - until the second half of the second half you could see that we were starting to become more cohesive, but then it did rather fall apart. Lots of good individual stuff but we are still less than the sum of the parts.
