No Lennon on the bench, is he injured or is he 6th choice CB at the moment?

Certainly strange. Even more so because with fox out of this system doesn't work we may want to put Chicksen in midfield and he could cover LB. Whereas Johnson doesn't add anything.
Given that they have said players are ill I assume Lennon was one of them along with Lookman, Fox and Bauer as confirmed by Robinson.
Was it just me, or did Robinson drop in a comment about Fox having "personal issues" to sort out as well as being ill?

I don't think he fancies Lennon. He was sitting behind me at the cup game and isn't injured.
Didn't he say that Fox had been ever present?
He was far better at right back than Konsa last week, that's where I'd have him.
Surely it was Tex who went to right back when Konsa went off.
Yep think that's what I said.
Fair enough, but the thread seemed to be all about Fox. All these players with an X in their names.
  • Full house with a good atmosphere they say. Hope for three points according to them, Billy Clark is their expert.
  • They kick off.....
  • Teams swapping round, the 'wrong' way for Bradford.

Even at fullback, Tex is the better experienced player, I agree.
Foley is on the bench also, solid and dependable at RB.

But neither fit the system that Robbo wants to start with today.
He's surely put the quick young fullbacks in to give width and get forward.

  • they go backwards....now go long.....pearce is taken down and has stayed down
  • Don't know much about biology botany.
  • We are off, in the purple.
City attack, and a stoppage for a knock to pearce.
  • pearce back up now and limping...they have a throw...taken...cross comes in...Baur concedes corner....pearce will have to go off it seems
  • City throw, lots of movement
    around box
cross, and headed behind by Bauer.
    corner

  • pearce goes down again....ref stops the corner being taken
  • Pearce struggling, looks like a sub.
  • pearce looks in agony holding his groin....tex coming on
  • Tex in alongside Bauer if Pearce has done his groin?
  • Make it Tex please
  • Tex coming on, thank god it isn't Johnson.

Lucky we have Roger Johnson on the bench

  • P/Borough 1-0 Chesterfield
  • Tex gets on anyway

  • This is where we will see the situation with KR and the Tex cluster fuck. What you made of Karl?
  • tex is on.....corner comes in...we clear by josh to ajose....but they have a throw

    Phew

  • Pity about Pearce but Tex should be capable replacement
  • Corner to come though.
We try to break and a city throw.
  • no fucking way. tex is on
  • throw taken we clear for another throw
  • Tex gets on anyway

Good - thought he was excellent last week.
  • throw taken...konsa is fouled....deep in own right hand corner...dillion takes the fk long
  • If Pearce has done his groin, as it looks like he has, then this could be the "dream-team" CB pairing we always hoped for.
