Really good performance and a great match - if anyone asks you how a game that ends 0-0 can be exciting then this one should provide the answer.
Magennis was incredible, Phillips looked like a real first team 'keeper but the stand out for me was Chicksen. Hopefully we're going to see a real battle with him and Fox for that starting left back role.
Robinson was very positive in his tactics and team selection, away to a good team with a vastly depleted squad it would have been easy to have been overly defensive - I have no doubt that that's how Slade would have set us up. Only question was why he brought on Jackson, wasn't sure what role he was supposed to be fulfilling and he didn't look 100% fit (I think he's suffering from this plague which has struck Sparrows Lane).
Centre of the park is still a concern but Robinson will already have recognised that and if he can find a solution to that problem in January then the second half of the season could be really good for us.
So how would you describe the formation KR actually set up in? Sounds a bit like that 4-2-the rest all over the place!
I think the idea was the forward players were supposed to interchange, but I'm not sure Ajose & Botaka are intelligent enough to manage that.
Little bloke with glasses in the stand spoilt the game in the 2nd half. Had fanny on the train been saying all season you won't be seeing many teams bear us this season. Bradford fans after game were saying after the game one of the best teams they've seen this season. As for the little bloke can you please stop spoiling my day out Night all
Good to meet you last night but could you please rephrase that post ?
Evening have edited posts Would probably take me till the new year to explain to the wife Did you finish the banquet off?
As a naturalised Yorkshireman I go to most of the games up here. First game since the Scunnie 0-0. That night I shook Slade's hand when he came over post match even though I was really critical of his tactics. Yesterday there was hardly anything to criticise. Karl set the team up to be aggressive and much more attacking. Yesterday proved we have a good depth in squad and that we needed a competent tactician. It's early days of course, but in KR I think we might just have found the right man. Also liked him getting the players together at the end and showing them how proud he was of their efforts. Then the gesture of throwing Konsa's shirt into the crowd. Think he's good un.

Should have thrown Johnson in the crowd!!
Difficult sometimes when there is nothing to moan about.
Best performance of the season that I've witnessed and I include Bristol Rovers away in that. Robinson said last week that he wanted the players to come off the pitch knowing they'd given everything-watching Lee Novak on the right wing follow his runner all the way to our area to then win a slide tackle right in front of us just typified the showing yesterday. The players were knackered in the last 10 minutes and although that might be a slight reflection on our fitness levels, I took more of a sign of how KR set them up. Seeing our three strikers pressuring their defence into mistakes was great and the only shame was that we didn't convert any of the good chances we created in the first half.
Although I disagreed with the sacking of Slade, he would have 100% looked at Bradford's home record and played one up front with a packed midfield and invited pressure and, whilst the outcome may have been the same, the entertainment and commitment levels would not. Gutted I'm missing the game next week (fecking panto) and it's a long time since I've said that.

Lol. No probs.
Yes, we hoovered up most of the leftovers & were stopped from falling asleep by a group of QPR fans who boarded at Doncaster( I think) Their loud & raucous versions of well known football songs/chants plus some interesting versions of their own kept us amused and awake !
Unfortunately our day took a turn for the worse when our usual 1 hour journey to Wadhurst from London Bridge took over 2 due to an earlier 2 hour electrical black out in Sevenoaks ....Didn't even manage to get a seat until half way through as our train was packed to the gunwales with passengers that had seen their earlier ones cancelled.
by the sounds of it the tactics of Slade and Robinson are like night and day. with all the players out Slade would have gone ultra defensive and play not to lose. Sounds like Robinson wants the players to attack and play in space.
look forward to seeing how the team sets up when everyone is fit.
predicted a point and we got a point, only much use if we follow it up with a min 8 points out of the 4 remaining games for this month.
milwall, southend, pboro and mk dons are all beatable teams. and will show what kr is made of, no good drawing away then squandering points at teams we should be punishing.

Chicken comes across really well in this interview, I like him , hope he becomes a permanent fixture in our starting eleven
Chicksen must keep his place (as must Tex) .. he was very good on Saturday .. way he talks emphasising team spirit and the fresh approach of Robinson .. Shades of Eddie Jones (who ?) .. same playing staff, different coach/manager .. whole new ball game .. just keep it going lads and we'll get promotion

Bring on Millwall!
I am actually looking forward to seeing how the youngsters play tomorrow night, I think KR is the type of character who would get the best out of the youngsters. I wouldn't be surprised if the youngsters produce the goods tomorrow night!

Bless him though his little face when everyone joined in

0.5% Top two ......... 49.5 % 3rd-6th ......... 48% 7th-12th ......... 2% 13th-20th .......0% relegation

Home at 1am so a long day for the Fanackapans.
Hope you fared better.

KR was hoping to have Holmes back at the start of the year, so expect Millwall may be too soon.
And he can take a free kick.
Botaka I still like, despite issues with the final ball. Hopefully that'll come.
And Tex looks pretty classy to me. Looks relaxed on the ball.
I'm wondering whether Ajose fits in?
I think Robinson might see him as a bit lightweight, when he's trying to promote an aggressive style of play.
