Son was at the match. Just spoke to him says we were the better team first half. Phillips saved us second. Also said konsa doesn't look comfortable as a full back.

Interesting. Phillips has come from no-where to producing a string of excellent performances and looking a quality goalkeeper at this level.
Will be an interesting decision for KR to take when Rudd is fit.
(PS Just realised stupidity of last sentence. Douchbag will tell KR to keep Phillips in the team to give him maximum exposure so he can be sold to a Premier League team)

That's sort of odd, because Konsa was playing RB for the Development Squad before being converted to CB and the 1st team!
Personally I am pleased for Phillips because nondescript as he is, i have always thought he has something. used to watch him a lot for the U18's and U23's (don't see the U18's now, not having a season ticket any more), he concentrates well, integrates with the game and his team mates well, a good talker, likes a penalty save, a decent all round game. I have praised him loads in the past, even when there has been talk about Pope and Henderson, Dmitrovic and others like the young wonderkids, as well as prospective loans. I had to check with the bloke who told me what Phillips is paid several time as i could hardly believe it, i think it is true to say he would have doubled his wage if he had gone to Cheltenham. Cheltenham! Clearly it is early days in Dillon's career, and he still needs experience, but more power to the young man, and i certainly hope that some Charlton supporters don't 'do a Morgan Fox' to him.
I don't particularly care if it is awkward for the regime, but circumstances have forced Tex into the side. All the more ironic seeing as how he would be one lined up to leave in January.
1st half was very positive, Novak, Josh, Ajose and Botaka all switched between wide positions and central. Were unlucky not to go ahead, was nice seeing a team trying to score goals.
2nd half was more normal, sat back and offered very little. Konsa had a solid game at right-back and Robinson singled him out for applause at the end. Sent all the players over to us too.
Bauer probably didn't deserve that 2nd yellow but he got suckered into the foul.
Mediocre town with crap pubs and away end. Think if we'd had fewer injuries we'd have won that. Otherwise a draw is fair.
It's interesting that KR (someone who wants attacking football) has started his reign with two 0-0 draws!
It seems that circumstances mean that Tex is back in the team, which is good news I guess for everyone. If Tex wants to leave in January (or we want him to go) then him getting games will help in that process.
Enjoyed the day. First half we were really very threatening. Second very good defensively although City moans about lack of a finisher on their boards fully justified. Some great saves by both keepers. Haven't enjoyed a game and a day so much for a long while. 4 pints for less than £8 very welcome too. Only negative our legs gone for last twenty especially up front. Hats off to Josh especially first 45 and Chicksen all game. Dillon well played boy. Got Konsa's shirt too so lad will be suitably equipped for warm up before game tomorrow. COYR.
best 0-0 I've seen for a long time .. first half we hit the post as well as the bar and had a shot cleared off the line .. Bradford started well on top and we held them well and by 1/2 time we were on top .. the 3 striker formation with pace down both wings was exciting to watch.
Pearce went off injured early, sorry Jason this was a blessing in disguise, Tex came on and the defence looked a lot more secure .. disagree the comments about Konsa at full back, he was terrific as was Chicksen on the left .. Fox could well be out for some time .. Botaka and Ajose wide were both a terrific success .. the biggest and most welcome bonus was Novak .. he's lost weight, was everywhere, had a terrific game, a revelation .. I wanted him sold now I want him to stay .. Magennis was super, Phillips is a real find, the midfield worked well without being particularly creative ..
a VERY good performance against a good Bradford outfit which had us under pressure at the finish .. but all in all we were unfortunate not to win this .. Bauer was sent off for 2 minor offences, unjust .. the referee allowed Bradford more leeway than he allowed us
Lookman, Holmes and all were hardly missed .. Robinson may well have discovered a decent team by default .. COME ON YOU ADDICKS !!!!!!!
On the way back from the game and not read others. First ten minutes we were against the ropes and a lot of that was caused by losing Pearce so early. The next 35 minutes were all us, we hit the bar, the post and had other chances. It was the best performance I have seen from us for some time. Second half they were better but weren't gonna be dominated as much as the were in the second half. Dillon was brilliant and to be honest I thought they all were. Robinson talked to them all after the game on the pitch and they all came over and clapped the fans and looked shattered. Everyone I spoke to has said they thought we played well and are happy with what they saw. Early days but was good to see
Whilst we were battling Bradfords Bantams I was battling the crowds of Oxford Street, and a dodgy connection meant I only caight snippets of the game, but it sounded like we were up for it and went for the win despite a depleted and damaged side. Shame we lost 2 centre backs on the day but hopefully Solly will be back in some form and Konsa and Teixeira are able replacements.
On another day (Bristol away perhaps) we'd have been 3 up within half an hour, but hey you can't have all the luck, and a point and a clean sheet away from home is no mean feat.
Wow, I must say - I'm beginning to really like Karl. Really decent interviews, cracking support of Patrick who got a red card and good to see the odd bit of self-deprecation.

Decent point given all the pre-match withdrawals, injuries, new formation and sending off
Last away game we won 5 - 1, sounds like we didn't get the luck today.
