No Lennon on the bench, is he injured or is he 6th choice CB at the moment?
Certainly strange. Even more so because with fox out of this system doesn't work we may want to put Chicksen in midfield and he could cover LB. Whereas Johnson doesn't add anything.

Given that they have said players are ill I assume Lennon was one of them along with Lookman, Fox and Bauer as confirmed by Robinson.

Was it just me, or did Robinson drop in a comment about Fox having "personal issues" to sort out as well as being ill?
I don't think he fancies Lennon. He was sitting behind me at the cup game and isn't injured.

Okay, I've watched Robbo's pre-match interview where he says we're going to play narrow, with a high line.
In Konsa and Chicksen he's got 2 mobile and quick footed fullbacks giving us pace at the back but who are also surely going to be told to get forward, with Crofty sitting. That'll give us width.
With 3 in CM, maybe Botaka gets a bit of a free role, with little defensive responsibilities - he'll be the wild card player free to roam and unpick their defence? The front 3 to play close together.
Okay, given numbers missing through injury an illness, that's a positive enterprising line up. Fullbacks look a bit vulnerable to overloading though.

Didn't he say that Fox had been ever present?
Just listened again and he definitely says something about personal stuff, its mumbled but is definitely there.

He was far better at right back than Konsa last week, that's where I'd have him.

It's worth noting that with a very similar squad against Swindon, Slade went 4-4-2 diamond with Foley, Jackson, Freddie, and Crofts in midfield and we were woeful.
I'm not entirely convinced the 4-2-2-2/4-2-1-3 will work, but I really, really like that Robinson actually has systems and that he wants his teams to be able to switch in-game. He is light-years ahead of Slade tactically.
For those questioning him talking about tactics before the game, at this point there's only so much the opposition can do. I highly doubt Bradford worked on defending against three forwards and Botaka during the week.

Surely it was Tex who went to right back when Konsa went off.

Like you say Bradford will have worked on their system and how we'll likely play all week... to throw those plans out the window and change everything an hour before a game would be almost criminal and would be attempted suicide from McCall.
Bradford are the home side so if I was a Bradford fan waiting for the game right now Id be expecting Charlton to be the ones to adapt their tactics to how Bradford play and not to be dictated to by the away side

Hope I'm wrong but I can see us given a bit of a spanking with that team.

Exciting team, tho. Hope it works
