We would be in the relegation zone if not for Dillon IMO. He's my frontrunner for POTY right now.

Been quality all season really and noticed he's started to come for crosses more recently which was an area that needed some improvement.
  • Need to tie him down with a new deal too!!

Wont be surprised if clubs start sniffing around him in the summer
  • Need him tied down to a long deal, Dillon will play at the highest level I have no doubt about that - just hope it is with us!

Chelsea are apparently looking at Pope so Burnley may come calling again.

Sell on fee or did Rolly sell the sell on fee?

No goalkeeper has made more saves in the @SkyBetChamp than @Dillon_Phillips this season (113). Charlton's number one #cafc

I know this might sounds a bit mean, but that isn't a good stat!

Well considering quite a few teams have conceded more it is a decent stat for Phillips.

Good for him, not so good for the defence

He makes some cracking saves. I hear a lot of criticism of him not sure why?... (distribution?)

we do bring through some great keepers. Id imagine someone will come in for him from the prem at some point...

Id be curious to know what his saves to goals percentage is between all the other Goalkeepers at this level

If he's not towards the top then your right its not a good stat

Yeah be interesting to see, but I'm more worried he's having to make that number of saves because the defense in front of him is that poor
  • Great shot stopper, no doubt in that but his distribution and commanding of his area lets him down a lot in my opinion

Unless someone else gets there first will be something I'll look into in the next day or so when Im feeling more human

Its a stat I've seen for a while and been curious as to how it adds up against everyone else in this League

If Pope goes in the summer I wont be surprised in the slightest if Burnley try and sign him

Burnley are the sort of team who would target a keeper like Dillon, as they're not a passing from the back sort of side, Dyche you'd imagine is less concerned about whether a keeper is good with his feet or can set up attacks with his distribution.

Plenty of practise as a keeper with the amount of chuff in front of him
Last goalkeeper to win POTY for us was a relegated one as well , who had plenty of action to look good

I’ve had a power nap this afternoon but didn’t realise I had slept for 2.5 months.

Some great saves there. Feel sorry for him that he is let down so badly by our woeful defending.

If we go down he will 100% be off.

The season he's had he'll be off regardless.

Apparently Dillon and his agent have said they won't sign a new contract.

His current one runs out next June.

He’s doing the right thing - signing a contract beyond a year whilst we have incoming salary caps and are playing in League One with an uncertain future would make very little sense.

If we do somehow find a way to get promotion from League One then maybe he would re-sign with us then.

Might be an unpopular opinion but cash in on Dills now if he doesn’t want to stay. We have a more than capable replacement in Ben Amos, who was one of our best players in his previous spell with us in League 1. We can probably get close to the million mark for Dills, which we could then spend on a centre half that we need.
