Great response from CARD. Genuinely impressed.

The problem is the protests effect the regime to more or less the square root of zero, or in the case of Coventry, brings people who would not otherwise come to the Valley as protesters, so a bit of extra cash for them. Also, They are Belgian, why do they care what the British media think.

I don't want to take even the slightest bit of credit from CARD, they started this and they have done some great things.

The crux of this problem lies in Belgium... Destroy them in Belgium and we win the war.

    @Addickted2TheReds I think he's concerned about you -

"I personally feel for the young supporters who are being dragged into a fight none can possibly understand."

    I know.

Damn all these people who make all my decisions and form my opinions because I can't think for myself because I'm too young!

    Bastards!
Funny it's the same argument Sue used against me on that fb group the other day. She also said I'm too your to be a real fan as I haven't lived through various periods of our history that I am fully aware of. So awarepparently my opinion doesn't matter because I am too young.
I wish I could respond but I'm not articulate enough :-(
I did respond to her. A well reasoned, thought out explanation of my views to which she replied 'I haven't got time to read a post that long, but I can assure you that you are wrong'.
    Assume you're now banned?

You're not the only one worried about me!

"No offence to Joe, but the kid is well out of his depth. I employ much more articulate kids than him to do internships. Embarrassing comments today. Stand aside sonny, or just pipe down for the grown ups."

    :-(

Wow! What a condescending post. Think you've always put yourself across very well. Surprisingly! Take no notice.

Those google images tho.. thanks Ben.

We're on the same side but I respectfully disagree.

You need to look at it from Meire's eyes.

If you were her, would you prefer 6,000 compliant fans, sitting in silence and going home or,

12,000 fans protesting and giving them all sorts of headaches ?

Also, much of the extra revenue from protesting fans, will be swallowed up with security costs.

It's a no brainer. Protest, protest and protest again & they will go !
First of all, I love the fact that you are not screaming and shouting. It shows that we can all have an intelligent debate. I'm not here for a fight with anyone, we all want the same end goal, it's the means that are the question.

I agree that protesting is not good for the regime, but the question is how bad is it, and how much extra pressure does it put on them? That's all I'm saying. The protests are all self contained in a lot of ways, it causes them all sorts of fuss in the stadium no doubt though.

As for stewarding costs, I would question that. Bar one incident where a big mouth twat caused 2 poor chaps to run on the pitch and get grabbed by stewards, what we have done thus far has, in reality, had minimal effect. In the words of a neutral close friend of mine in regards to those 2 guys that ran on the pitch, "You all got hyped about the pitch invasion and had your chance, and then you bottled it." That whole pitch invasion thing was probably the most idiotic thing that has happened in the protest's history, and has made us look weak if anything... If we are going to do things like that, we need to underplay our protest plans, not overplay them, because then we look like a bunch of cowards to those outside who take an interest.

I don't think Meire loses any sleep about us... I really don't.

  • Presumably sue perks has conveniently forgotten katriens comments that she doesn't care about the older fans?

  • Until KM is removed from the club, I request no organisation especially CARD has no involvement with club officials.
Protest, protest, protest- get them out.

Indeed - no complaints from me!
  • CARD, as ever, have played a blinder

I find it strange when she says "We made numerous mistakes last season" yet she and the rest of the SMT are still in their positions.

If I was as shit as she and her SMT then I would get the sack pretty quickly

But since when has football in any way reflected the real world?

Maybe a question to ask her would be, "how old do have to be to have an opinion."
I think her judgement maybe clouded by the freebies and her best mate.

  • I can't see Katrien sitting in the director's box for this one.

I can see a strategic illness/holiday coming along.

Unfortunately for her she has already committed herself to meet with the Bromley Addicks prior to the match.

Maybe she will sit in the covered end as all protesters are in the west!

As I said on another thread, I expect she will be there surrounded by a possee of hired thugs smirking away.

Let's wipe the smirk off her face.
  • Fantastic response by CARD. Are there plans wider press release to put these great points across to the media as a whole in order to keep the pressure on the regime?.
