  • Didn't he punch one of our players and get sent off once too?

John Aloisi that is, not Robbie Fowler.
he did what many would have liked to have done .. clumped Danny Mills .. just for the record, I am a big Mills fan, one of the sainted Wembley heroes ((:>)

Plymouth Argyle sack the arrogant Derek Adams with one game left of the season. A game which is their biggest, at home to fellow relegation candidates, Scunthorpe United.

Lost their last 5 including that 5-1 loss on Saturday away at Accrington Stanley.

Got one or two players who I would like us to potentially look at signing though.

I'd like to see Scunthorpe go down. Sacked Graham Alexander in March last year with the team in 5th, could face him next season in League 2 if his Salford side get promoted (currently 3rd).
  • Didn’t realise Steve Lovell was sacked ahead of our game on Saturday.

This was poor show by Scally - they looked dead and buried when he took over.
Word is that Steve Evans is coming in with full back-room team (and lunch).

Wont be surprised in the slightest if both go down

Didnt like Derek Adams found him very arrogant but had a lot of respect for him as a Manager, did well to get Plymouth back into League One and then resurrected them to lead them to cusp of the Play-Offs last year, think they've sacked him at the wrong time to be honest and against a team that havent won in 13-games Plymouth stood a good chance of survival

A very surprising slump for both clubs considering Scunny were 5th and Plymouth 7th last season. Indeed with Bradford 11th the only current member of the bottom 4 who were strugglers last season are Walsall.

A strange time to change manager but losing 5-1 to Accrington is a shocking result and their form is awful, just as bad as Scunthorpe's really. Their game next week will be a cracker

I heard that Lovell was told that his contract wasn't being renewed, and walked on Friday

That will please the Argyle fans I know. They reckon he is too negative and doesn't know how to change a game. Also refused to play their no. 11 (Llamaris?) until halfway through the season.

Gillingham apparently interested in Wimbledon assistant Glyn Hodges, maybe Steve Evans not 100% agreed?

I expect Warburton will come up with some fresh ideas to slice the opposition apart.

When Murray is your best striker you’ll always struggle.

Unlucky for Chris but pretty sure they’ll go down next season anyway.
  • Brighton
    Norwich
    relegation double is printing money
  • Sorry for Hughton, a decent man, but some of their recent football has been awful.

Spent some money last summer, but just about all their signings flopped, hence their reliance on the old guard

You not fancying Sheffield UTD to struggle?
  • For me Brighton are a bottom five team, they're either relegated or in a relegation battle

At the moment there is no better option for them and needed to get past the second season syndrome before being able to progress - Now though they've got to deal with getting the new manager right and sadly dont see that happening

    Shame for Hughton. Nice bloke.

I opened this thread expecting it to be about Solskjaer. If they get off to a slow start I reckon he won't last long.

I wouldn’t be at all surprised if they sacked OGS in the next week or so.
  • While Brighton have been dire this season, surely this is about the players being a bit rubbish? Says something when 35 year old Glen Murray is their top scorer by a long chalk with 15

They did sign a number of players last summer who flopped. The fee for Jahanbakhsh was reported to be £17m
