Evatt blames the players. Surely on the way out soon.
  • But they had great progress last year and finished 3rd whoooopeeeee doooooo for them
  • The New owners at Everton wanted to hear a new voice in the dressing room.
    Darren Farley is gutted !

They had the advantage of being a newly promoted league2 side and with that momentum it got them 9th. Then they got 5th, then 3rd and lost a play off final.

It's alright though, I'm sure the Bolton fans are fine, cause it was yearly progress until this blip. They'll use the advantage of a disappointing season as motivation next season.

I think that's how it works.
  • Blimey, he blamed the fans earlier this season and now it's the players fault... After he has just been backed to bring an expensive sounding one to the club, who just played his first game for them too.

Potentially nightmare January for Wycombe as Swansea are continuing to bid for Low too. Not much time to get a new manager in before the window closes
  • Football League World is a terrible source.

Agreed, though his odds are now very very short at 1/10 and that was before the FLW tweet. Managerial markets are volatile but not THAT volatile, think this has legs
  • Yeah this one makes complete sense even if it's a dodgy source, I'd expect other better places than FLW to be reporting it.

  • Looks as good as done that,

  • He's done a decent job at Wycombe so is going to be in demand.

On another note there is 5 minute a video doing the rounds of the new guy at Plymouth.  I have to say.....I'd never heard of him until a few days ago but that is one hell of a first impression on his players!  One of the first replies says "I support Leeds, couldn’t give 2 fucks about Plymouth but after this 4:41 video I’ve come across of a bloke I’d never heard of 5 minutes ago, I’ve just ran through a brick wall, ended homelessness and achieved world peace.

Imagine if we were the 3rd best team in the league this year.

Also if this was to happen that (potential) cup draw seems more appealing!

Great speech to be fair, and i'd expect it's far more motivating than anything Rooney said or did.
  • Take my hat off to him! Never heard of him b4, but wow that's some speech!! Fair play to him, I hope he can turn it around!
  • Particularly impressive to do it in your second language too

  • If Wycombe are so rich, as detailed in this thread, how come Luton can pinch their manager.
  • Beat Preston tonight and beat managerless Wycombe and you could say we have one hand on the cup already
  • Big appointment for Wycombe here, will totally make or break their season
  • The Town board have complied with all compensation requests from Wycombe Wanderers to bring the 40-year-old to Kenilworth Road, along with his assistant Richard Thomas, first team coach Lee Harrison and senior analyst Ben Cirne.

Charlton academy keeper, never played for us though.

Despite Wycombe Wanderers having an off day at the Valley, Matt Bloomfield was having a great season at WW where he played 488 games after being released from Ipswich academy and where he spent 22 years, bar 1 year at Colchester in 22/23 before getting the gaffer's gig at Wycombe.

I've had inside info on this (not from a newspaper)but frustrating when 🤐 is attached to the ITK text 😤

MB struck while the iron was hot as not convinced Richard Kone will still be at WW by Feb 1st and Bloomfield goes to Luton with them in a lowly position so if they finish around mid table he will have had a good start to his hatters career.

Luton are a championship club who were in the premier league a year ago. Wycombe have had one year in the championship in their history

say Wycombe go up and as a player you had a choice Wycombe or Luton, who would you chose? Obviously the player should be looking to sack his agent and get a new one if they were the only options!!!!
  • It must hurt the Wycombe fans, that somebody who's a club legend (558 appearance for them) would jump ship at the first opportunity.
  • Crazy... Apart from a six month spell as Manager of Colchester in 2022; Bloomfield has been with Wycombe in some capacity for 20-years
