Why would 7th place Solihull choose the manager of 21st place Wealdstone? That Matt Taylor has achieved nothing of note in his managerial career.
Soccerbase seem incapable of differentiating between the two - they have one person managing Walsall and Exeter and then Rotherham and Shrewsbury simultaneously and that person then going from Bristol Rovers to Wealdstone
Definitely the second worst appointment of the season after Rooney. Fair play to them for giving him as long as possible but his win percentage with MK and Carlisle this season must be below 20%

Farcical in that they allowed Willamson to COMPLETELY change the side, bringing in a whole new set of players, including several of his former players to help to squad change their style of football to Williamson's passing style, then sack the manager on the last day of the window.

Carlisle United, who are bottom of League Two, are weighing up making an approach to try to appoint Steven Gerrard as their new manager following the former Liverpool captain recently leaving Al-Ettifaq. (Mail)
That shows the drug of football, that someone like Hughes would take over a club in such a desperate situation.
Agreed. Mark Hughes is 61 and comfortable financially. He could holiday with family and play golf, with some punditry similar to Curbs 16/1.
The English out post of Carlisle at the North west end of England and the southern most end of league 2. The drug and addiction of football that made both Roy Hodgson and Neil Warnock come back for at least one more fix.
I assume Hughes feels he could be the Sparky 🤦🏻♂️to jolt Carlisle out of danger.
Two of the three promoted teams have now sacked managers. That seems crazy to me as the odds on a team getting promoted and then having to consolidate are high.
Been on a terrible run. Warne has a great record of getting teams promoted from L1, but has never kept a team up, and even struggled this season with a much bigger club (Derby) than Rotherham in the Championship.
Oxford United needed Gary Rowett who's a bit of a Championship expert to navigate them. Believe they also start more or less, a mostly changed team from the team that won the play-offs.
Portsmouth have had a massive overhaul in their team since opening week. Results have been on the up since.
Now Derby are making a drastic change.
The gap just seems to get wider each season. I think only Birmingham stand a chance of all the teams that could go up this season. All the rest of us would be relegation favourites.

In summary, football is becoming shit!!!!! The same team has won the premier league 5 years running (won’t make it 6) and for the second year running, there is a strong possibility that the three promoted teams are going down, although one might survive.
the premier league is a closed shop!!
something needs to be done to level the playing field but I haven’t got a clue how this would happen.
Derby want John Eustace as their new manager. That he's clearly interested in swapping a playoff chasing Blackburn for bottom 3 Derby suggests all isn't well between him and the Blackburn owners, And a certain Steve Waggott...

Want to make that point the Premier League becoming a two horse race is the more accurate. (though the two there at the moment aren't City and Liverpool)
We have some unwoken giants (in Forest and Villa) breaking into the 'top six'. (With Man Utd and Tottenham having poor seasons).
Bournmouth (with a capacity: 11,379) could be a European team next year. That is not even mentioning Newcastle.
** I am starting to agree with that (due to Everton and Wolves rehiring wisely).

It also reflects that he's from the midlands, has played for Derby twice and may well wish to move closer to home. Plus in all honestly hardly anyone expects Blackburn to get promoted and Derby may offer a better salary.
By all accounts Eustace doesn't trust the owners (the infamous Venky's). They received almost £30m for Wharton and Szmodics (27 Championship goals last season) and spent a pittance of that in new transfers. He had a meeting asking for certain assurances (presumably to do with future investment) and didn't get them whereas Derby sold him the manager's position as a long term project.

Wycombe set to appoint Sunderland coach Mike Dodds as manager. Seems to be another young coach with a youth development background
Wycombe Wanderers have appointed Mike Dodds as their new head coach on a contract until the summer of 2028.
He replaces Matt Bloomfield who left Adams Park last month after two years in charge to become manager of Championship club Luton Town.
Dodds was assistant head coach at Sunderland, where he also had three spells as interim boss, winning four of his 18 games in charge.
The Football League's bottom side Carlisle United have sacked boss Mike Williamson after their 5-1 home defeat by Swindon.
The Cumbrians are five points adrift of safety at the foot of the League Two table.
Williamson left his position as MK Dons boss to take over from Paul Simpson in September.

If he does keep them up then he's done a great job.
Plus he was unemployed and now he's getting paid.
Admirable in a way.
