My son told me that when ex players meet and talk about the time I managed them in youth football, some refer to me as Sean Dyche. It might not be meant positively but I have always taken it as a great compliment. I think Everton have made a big mistake.
Erik Ten Haag (Dutch) Steve Cooper (British) Gary O'Neill (British) Russell Martin (British) Julen Lopetegui (Spanish) Sean Dyche (British)
So, that's four of the six British managers in situ at the start of the season sacked with only Eddie Howe and Kieran McKenna surviving but just two of the 14 foreign managers losing their jobs.
I've heard on the grapevine that Samuel D'Allardyce, with his newly acquired French passport, is eagerly watching developments at West Ham.
Everton replacing Dyche is a big risk. They are shit and have been for years at least with Dyche you know they'd stay up. Suppose they have new owners now looking to splash a bit of cash. But with the stadium move next year I'd back them to go down now

Rob Edwards, who always wears his heart on his sleeve has left Luton by mutual consent; or at least as near as it can be !
The ups and downs of football was typified by Edwards tenure at Luton when he joined in November 22 after being one of the many managers in and out of the revolving door at Watford.
Promotion to the Premier League was a mighty achievement in his 1st season and little Luton entertained the Premier big boys. They gave it their best shot but this fairy story was a one season wonder plus the drama with Captain Tom Lockyer's Cardiac arrest in December 23 and the emotional rollercoaster hit him hard.
Relegation wasn't unexpected but this season back in the Championship, Rob Edwards has struggled to get a tune out of mainly the same players that got them promoted. The 42 year old leaves Luton after just over two years and in 20th place and just 2 points above the trap door.
I hope after he refreshes his batteries Edwards gets another job in the Championship or League 1 as he has had success and failure which nearly every manager will experience.

seems pretty inevitable that the more foreign players who join Prem clubs, the more there will be foreign managers. Potter going to West Ham keeps the grand total of English managers in the Prem at (go on count 'em) two

I think Luton have made a huge mistake here, time will tell.
Moyes back at Everton. 2.5 year deal, so not the rumoured short term deal
Should never have left them for Man Utd in hindsight... Be great if he can get them back to where they were under him before
Be a great way to thumb the nose at West Ham
In the 68 years prior to Ferguson's retirement, United had 7 permanent managers. In the 11 years since they've had exactly the same number. The issues are poor recruitment, the desire for immediate success from the Board and fans and certain players with massive egos and too money that are getting away with things that would have been unheard of in the days of Busby and Ferguson. Since he retired, United have finished in the PL: 7th-4th-5th-6th-2nd-6th-3rd-2nd-6th-3rd-8th-13th (currently)
Records for all games including cups:
Wins - Draws - Losses - Pts Per Game:
Ferguson: 895-338-267-2.02 Moyes: 27-10-15-1.75 Van Gaal: 54-25-24-1.82 Mourinho: 84-32-28-1.97 Solskjaer:91-37-40-1.85 Rangnick: 11-10-8-1.48 Ten Hag: 70-23-25-1.98 Amorim: 4-2-6-1.17

So other than the last two seasons United have never been outside the top 7 in 12 seasons ! So many Ex players and Rio Ferdinand giving criticism.
David Moyes was sacked when they were 7th because they weren't going to reach the Champions League. Ferguson's 1st 3 seasons weren't great but Edwards never put him under any pressure.
Solskjaer went 18 months without losing an Premier away match and finished 3rd in 19/20 and runners up to City in 20/21, plus losing on penalties to Villarreal in the Europa final
What would Man united give to have a 2nd, 3rd and a European final now.

A further 20 haven't yet been in the role for 2 years.

They'll finish stranded at the bottom and this guy will get the chop before the season starts.
