A rather random choice in the first place. A common pattern at the moment, seems to be to alternate between an exciting young coach (usually foreign), and a safe pair of hands British coach, so time for the experienced British coach now...1

He's a good upcoming Manager - Have to remember that the Barnsley promotion push came from:
Alfie Mawson (now at Swansea)
James Bree (now at Aston Villa)
Conor Hourihane (also at Aston Villa)
Marley Watkins (now at Norwich City)
Sam Winnall (now at Sheffield Wednesday)
The only key player left from that squad that went into the Championship is Adam Hammill which is a difficult ask for any Manager0 -
