  • Asiimwe with good work, feeds it in to Huke who controls well, spins and fires into the far corner. Nice tidy finish
  • Mojo on it’s way back hopefully.
  • Santos with a shot from 25 yards but comfortably saved.
  • Full time 3-2 to Watford.
  • Lost 2-3.
    Oh well.
  • Thanks again for updates
  • Thought at 1-3, the score flattered Watford , but the introduction of their subs made a big difference.

We missed Williams' influence going forward when he came off but overall the lads shouldn't be too disappointed with the performance. Some very good football on show this afternoon in dodgy conditions.

Big shout out for Assimwe on particular from us here on our settee.
  • A couple more games have been switched from Dartford to Sparrows Lane, against Colchester and Bournemouth. With the last 3 home games being at the Valley, the only games left scheduled at Dartford are the London Senior Cup game against Barking next week and then the QPR game the week after.

No, it seems that the game is now at Sparrows Lane, fixture list updated within last 30 minutes.

  • @clive thanks. You are the absolute Don of information and I don’t know what Charlton Life would be without you.
Looks like whispering Terry ‘he overcooked it’ Smith on commentary.

  • That's it for Princes Park for the season, unless something changes - the remaining 5 games are 3 at Sparrows Lane then the last 2 at the Valley.
  • I am surprised Sparrows Lane is fit to play if Princes Park is waterlogged.

  • Not sure QPR were expecting to see a team where 50% of them have been with the first team most of the season

  • Four players who've played regular first team football this season plus Fiorini and Taylor.

Interesting change in policy in that first teamer not getting game time are now being asked to turn out for the U21s

I wonder how much is about keeping them match fit and how much is seeing how they are as "human beings" (to quote NJ) and that this is a test of the willingness to buy into what Nathan Jones wants?
Also a chance for NJ to see them in a competitive fixture even if it is U21's

Princes Park seems to have had a lot of problems in the last few weeks. I think too many games have been staged there, as the London City Lionesses also play there.
  • Keenan Gough gets to captain Michael Hector!
  • In his post match NJ talked of this week, for him, will include watching games.

He’s been skipper for the last few games I’ve seen.  Decent defender tbf
  • Interested to see Nathan Jeche for QPR.   I’ve been following him for a couple of years since I saw him for Maidstone’s academy team
he also has a younger brother in our academy so another one to keep an eye out for.
  • The bottom pitch, called pitch five said Terry.

Good question, Henry. Although I would think Jones the manager sees these players in training every day and already feels he can judge their character.

Surely, it's essentially about keeping squad players match fit, like the old reserve league games used to do?

  • Should've just scored after good work from Fiorini.
Much better camera coverage than usual.
