Maloney and Wierdu being recalled from loans to play in the last couple of games is sensible given our injury situation so that the management can have a close look at their development although I'm sure we have someone watching them in their loan club's fixtures.

Yeah... Grant Basey, its all part of his new role within the club now
Haha I do assure you that @Sage isnt my imaginary colleague with me suffering from schizophrenia CCTV at Wembley can prove it showing him trying to run away

I imagine it's only happened as neither have made that many appearances for their clubs. If either were first team regulars, then it would hardly make sense to make them play an extra U23 fixture away from their loan clubs, imagine how we'd feel if Chelsea picked Gallagher for one of their U23 fixtures!

Haha, not quite how I remember it mate but it might’ve been like that! Was more that I didn’t know what to say due to still being in a host of different emotions after the absolute German beauty made it one of the best days of my life. Be good to meet you properly sometime.
A routine victory against a very poor Coventry who fielded previous transfer targets Matt Godden and Jodi Jones.
Two proper close range striker finishes from Davison who led the line well before going off near the end after a terrible clash of heads. Coventry rarely threatened, although bizarrely they hit the crossbar twice with headers.
Multiple chances went begging to increase the lead in the second half. Amazingly in one attack Yao's shot was cleared off the line by the head of a prostrate Isiaka.
Excellent performances from Mingi, Keefe and Davison.Harness is a very competent keeper and the young under 18 left full back Aidoo looked very promising. In fact I thought it was his cross for the second goal but twitter is saying the cross was from Mingi.
All in all a very good performance and an enjoyable experience in spite of it being bitterly cold. Up to second and looking good having beaten the top two in the last two home games.
Davison playing today, so presumably not in the squad or even the extended squad for tomorrow
Lockyer is back in the team isnt he so straight away its one less youngster we need on the bench
You do want more than 18 at the match though, in case of late withdrawals. And if Taylor for example had a slight reaction to playing on Saturday, with Davison playing today, we'd be left with no sub striker tomorrow.

Will he get a 1st appearance? I thought he might get some mins as a sub in our last few games but didnt happen despite our deplited squad. With Taylor back for now i dont see Davison grabbing a chance this season.

And who is Fonseca?
Matt Godden, a former transfer target for Charlton
