Same problem here. Been season ticket for about 35 years. My daughter has season ticket holder as well. Did not renew last year as moved plus ill-health but did buy tickets online. We both Have had no communication from the club re season tickets etc despite them having my new address. Must be database problem??
I'm sure everyone who is disappointed they haven't got a call, would also be the first to complain if they did?
Anyone who had a season ticket and hasn't renewed, surely wouldn't make business sense to start there? They will soon call Charlton if they wish to renew and given most the protests would be a waste of time contacting anyone who hasn't renewed of their own back.
Just a thought really, i get they might sway the odd one but it might be easier to get other people interested than the 'I will not renew while KM/RD are in charge'

This post is so wrong on every level. It is harder to get new customers than retain old ones or try to retain them. Some studies suggest 15 to 30 times harder! That is basic business. Maybe you should apply for KM's job when she finally leaves!
I thought KM said her target was the younger fan and basically if you was over 50 then they have no interest. So maybe they have done a DOB cull on their data base?
This would fit with the affordable pricing for the youngsters.

I am not in marketing but to suggest its wrong on so many levels really? Yes normally it would be best to retain loyal customers, however this is an extreme situation where everyone has been very active in getting the owner and CEO out. if they called 10,000 people and get 10 to renew is that success??
In most business yes your thinking is correct but at Charlton probably not, who knows. Its an impossible task for anyone to sell Charlton tickets these days whether its to the Loyal customers who have been for years or Bob down the road
Have been a fan since 1955 first season ticket when we moved to palace. Not had a phone call and will not renew will miss going but just don't feel the same with the regime, just hope a few good performances will lure me back.
but we tend to have more money than youngsters! And money is money!
As mentioned above, my son gets regular emails about renewing and other stuff. I get nothing. My son is 13, he hasn't got the means to buy a season ticket. This seems to have passed them by.

I think you are misunderstanding how hard it is for many of us not to go and support out team! We haven't stopped loving Charlton! of course some may be rude, some may be polite but refuse but may consider any message/assurances given and a few may accept what has been said. The bottom line would be that the club doesn't have to turn us into Charlton fans. Unfortunately we are stuck with that burden and it is a lifelong one!
If it is an impossible task, any decent business would ask itself why wouldn't it?
@MuttleyCAFC i totally understand your point and many people on here have said they are finding it very difficult not to renew. I think it is impossible and i would not have a clue where to start to try and ship the season tickets.
I am more playing devil's advocate and asking would people complain if people call them to ask for 5 minutes of their time? even though they already have a mindset they will not renew
It's all a mess at the mo , we need a complete overhaul
Yes, if the business employed anybody who was half competent - it would get a clear message and sort those calls out as a priority. There is more of a danger in leaving it as people may find different things to replace the hobby/habit of their previous lifetime. Of course, if there is a policy of only targeting young supporters it pretty much exposes how incompetent those in charge of the club really are. If it is because they have lost the data - well that is frightening. If they are too scared to ask the question - well that is how a business doomed to failure would act. What is for sure, none of the scenarios paints the way our club is run in a good light - from a purely professional business perspective.
My God, I'm getting tired of the constant bitching and negativity on this BB. So you haven't renewed your season ticket. Well done, it's your call. After all it's a free country. Now you want the club to try it's hardest to win you back. Such behaviour is all sooo precious. It's the behaviour I associate with female divas and now I know why the Aussies call us whingeing Pommes. Renew your season ticket or go elsewhere or, better still, get a hobby - I really don't give a damn. One thing's for certain I will be supporting the team whether it's in the Conference South or in the Premiership. That's what I do - I SUPPORT THE TEAM. There have been good times and desperate times over my 55 years of supporting the Addicks and believe you me I have witnessed situations far worse than the current predicament. So, as I say, it's your call. But stop bleating. It's nothing short of self-centred and pathetic.

Well you crack on and support the team but remember, if it wasn't for those who make the time and effort to get more involved with the club whether that be protesting, forming political parties or just whinging on here. You wouldn't have a team to support.

As the good Captain said: 'If you want to be a different fish, jump out of School'
In the bunker mentality at the top it's the fans' fault we got relegated, as revealed by Sue Parkes. So get rid of the fans, apart from the odd Tottenham cabbie, and we go back up again. Simple.
They should have my number. If they have lost it - incompetence. I am writing from my perspective, but it isn't about me - it is just highlighting how badly this club is run!
A lot of the database is fooked though isn't it ?
That's why a large percentage didn't get their S/T's and why many were sent to Bournemouth. I believe due to us giving Bournemouth those West Stand tickets, which overrode the existing S/T holder details.
The Bournemouth issue could only affect seats in the upper west stand.
but we tend to have more money than youngsters! And money is money!

I think your account is set up incorrectly. I had the same issue.

I think you miss the point of this thread. I did try to explain. It isn't about me. It isn't about wanting the club to try to win ME back. It is highlighting the fact that it hasn't tried to win long standing fans back in the context of what a well run business would do. I was looking for others to confirm - as some have - that this is an issue to question how the club is being run! The personal perspective in terms of me is irrelevant. The dteail is important to highlight why the club should be contacting fans like me - not for my satisfaction or ego but because that is what an organised business would do! I don't feel hurt on any personal level. It only confirms to me what I think I know.
They don't get the big things right. They don't get the small things right. I don't know why some fans on here keep defending them, when it's clear they're only justifying to themselves why they've renewed. Roland, Katrien and Dick are running the club into the ground and dividing fans as they go. We all love Charlton, that's why we read and post on this site. The current owners are neglectfully running us all into the ground with them.
