What kind of protection does she envisage for owners. She's a lawyer so I'm incredibly intrigued. Lock up 7,000 people when we protest?
Owners have the right to use tear gas and water cannons when they see fit?4 -
Hope that's not our transfer budget up in smoke!Henry Irving said:She's there as an audience member so must be paying.
How many STs to pay for this self-promotion.
With luck she handed out her CV to anyone who will take one.

she does like to play the victim card ... piteous0

I think she's criticising the police. The regime can't understand that their priority is public order rather than ensuring Katrien has a nice matchday experience.Chunes said:What kind of protection does she envisage for owners. It is very worrying. Her arragance seems to know no bounds.
She has alienated the fans, lied, made embarrassing decisions. The result is around 95% + of fans protest. The media recognise and in general support the plight of the fans. But she continues as if nothing has happened.
Does she not understand the fans anger and why?4 -
How she has the front to attend this type of meeting and spout off is beyond me. Whatever way you look at it she is a bloody disaster at her job.1
-
She is deluded and completely out of her depth. She hasn't a clue about football or its culture and she is naive beyond belief.
How she is still in her job is unbelievable - could someone explain why?1 -
Aah, the Dunning–Kruger effect in all its glory.
Before anybody looks it up and comments about me, I know I'm thick, so presumably I'm not.0 -
Dear Daisy/Katie Clueless,
When people have dug themselves into a deep hole, they normally have the common sense to stop digging.

And she wonders why the club have tried to put a muzzle on her. She wouldn't need protection if she didn't work for a shoddy owner.Leeds_Addick said:"Charlton Athletic CEO pops up
Having heard the Addicks mentioned along with the likes of Leeds and Portsmouth as poorly-run clubs, Katrien Meire - the club's CEO - pitched in from the audience.
She's very upset with fans' aggression towards the club's ownership - Charlton were just relegated, to the fury of already-disaffected fans - and told the panel that "sometimes the fans cross the line."
Minutes earlier, the onstage trio - Ed Warner, chair of UK Athletics, Damian Collins MP, of the Culture, Media and Sport select committee, and Jane Purdon, formerly of the Premier League and now Head of Governance at UK Sport - had discussed shoddy ownership with our very own Jim White, moderating.
Collins had called for football administrators to have more power to challenge club takeovers, but Meire wanted more protection for owners.
Purdon sympathised, but added: "We have to accept that all that passion drives football."
Charlton fans - what do you make of this?"
Seems like it would've been quite embarrassing for her.5 -

She's doing our job for us. Brilliant.20 -
Why has this clueless journo tweeted this crap? Has he read anything about her systematic draining of the club and all its worth?
If she has had criminal offences against her that is not right but what?1 -
The Irony of visiting an event such as this to stand up for toxic owners rights, while the club she is so keen to promote she is good for is falling apart Before her very eyes!
How much more has she got in her locker?4 -
Declan Warrington is a Charlton fan - he knows the score.Eynsfordaddick said:Why has this clueless journo tweeted this crap? Has he read anything about her systematic draining of the club and all its worth?

She really is the gift that keeps on giving. Yesterday the Wilder fiasco - today this - what's going to come tomorrow?2
-
What criminal offences have occurred (I hope they have not)? If offences have occurred are the police now acting or have people been arrested?0

It's classic deflection don't anwer the question but deflect by talking about something not related or play the victim card
She proves daily how out of depth she is ---- sport--- CEO--- management at any level---- a total embarrassment. The real football world can see it2 -
I think this qualifies as a FUCKING UNBELIEVABLE....Leeds_Addick said:http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/2016/05/12/business-of-sport-day-two-lord-coe-takes-centre-stage-ahead-of-d/

She has supposedly been advised not to speak to the media... but she goes to a conference ran by a huge media outlet (telegraph) and runs off her mouth. I bet her PR team are shitting themselves.
I think this is on par with Rolands hijack of the cafc club statement that led to the resignation of our head of comms...6 -
Her PR team walked a long time ago for this very reason.sterlingaddick said:She has supposedly been advised not to speak to the media... but she goes to a conference ran by a huge media outlet (telegraph) and runs off her mouth. I bet her PR team are shitting themselves.

That's why she's been let off the leash and is spouting crap in public again.

There is no PR team. Just poor old Olly and George sat in the office face-palming all day!!32

'Business leaders and sporting professionals will engage in vibrant debate providing unique insights into the latest thinking and demonstrating new benchmarks for the industry.'
I wonder if she has recommended House music and a sofa to them yet? Does she have any other ideas or just examples of incompetence?3 -
I am on my second box of popcorn already9
-
She obviously there to get her face seen by people who matter, and also by asking questions she in effect makes a statement because nobody has a right to challenge or even question her. And who has given the advice not to speak to the media? It can only be Roland because there's nobody else at the club who would be in a position to make that recommendation.0

Pray god there's going to be a video...50

There was a highlights reel last year. Would assume the same for this year and this is definitely a highlight judging by the headlines.Airman Brown said:Pray god there's going to be a video...
