Play has resumed, 20 mins lost.
  • So Anderson gets Mathews LBW. It actually hit him outside the line but the SL skipper doesn't review. Oops!

    81/5

Thought that looked not out. Unbelievable non-review

What an unbelievable ball that is.

Orthodox away swing, pitched up, regulation nick and Bairstow does the rest.

    Shanaka goes first ball.

    Brilliant, brilliant, brilliant.

That would be Jimmy on a hat-trick...

    Herath negotiates the hat-trick ball.

Anderson with figures of 3-15 from 7.3 overs and he is hooping the ball round corners at Headingley.

Ominous for SL and their tail.

Test just got boring (unless Thirimanne goes berserk and hits a run-a-ball 150)

    Don't say that!!

Oh wait... this is the England thread, not Kent....

I believe the third wicket will have taken him past Kapil Dev in the all time list, is that right?

    Another for Jimmy.
  • Anderson 4-15 now.

He gets Herath and to say "it was coming" is an understatement. He'd played and missed at every ball of the over so far!

    SL 7 down.
  • This really is quite amazing.

I prefer watching this than T20!

It still is the pinnacle of the game.

    Amazing?

Maybe the worst SL batting line-up since the 1980s, England with a couple of their all-time greatest bowlers on an overcast Headingley pitch. I would have been amazed if they'd gotten to 200, frankly

When the conditions are right the English bowlers are unplayable. Just like the indian bowlers are unplayable in India.

It's such a huge advantage for England.

Watching Jimmy in these conditions and seeing what he can do with a cricket ball?

    Yep - amazing.

The big man, Steven Finn, with a good low catch off the bowling of Broad.

Does anybody know a stream for this.

I don't know my sky go details and hoping to watch an hour over lunch!

Bit late for now but smart cric is pretty good for streaming cricket online. For future use....
  • Deja vu.

Broad bowling and Finn catches diving forward again.

Broad and Anderson with four each.

Who will get a five wicket haul....

    91-9

    207 behind.

If we can get the 10th I would enforce the follow on. Blast it tonight and first thing tomorrow. The bowlers should be relatively fresh.
  • So then, if we get the option, would you enforce the follow on?
  • He's definitely hit that.

Can't believe we've had to review it.

91 all out and 5 for Anderson.

    ALL OUT 91!!!!!

    Get them in again!

19 overs tonight and blast it in the morning.
  • And we have enforced the follow on...
  • 11.4 overs
    6 maidens
    16 runs
    5 wickets
    Economy of 1.37

And only 1 James Anderson... :-)
