this series is no competition, if it was a boxing match it would have been stopped

Seems odd that we lost the Test series at home to them only two years ago.

But they have lost two great batsmen since then.

Shame. All test matches should have a larger hint of competitiveness than this one, makes buying a ticket anything past Day One/Two a risk tbf.

Yes and before that Murali, this team lacks any real stars.

Dhammika Prasad is the bowler they're missing the most

Was he the one who skittled England out last time in the deciding test?

My day 4 ticket at Lords looks unlikely to be exciting...

Bumble on pitch inspection this morning said 'its freezing here'..... why, oh why do they have the first 2 Test matches in the furthest north grounds you can get ??!! - i'm in Portsmouth and its beautiful today, expecting to be 22 degrees, whereas Durham has top of 14 today. Surely it would have made sense to have the first 2 as far south as you could get them (ie Southampton and Lords), and then the northern ones for later in the season.
Then again, ECB doesnt seem to do 'sense'.

Not a lot going on here today - SL followed on BTW- currently 146-3 in their second - still about 2 million runs behind.

    SL 235-5 - still trail by 162

    Ok here we go,day 4 starts - SL309-5 , still trailing by 88.

Botham this morning saying that Durham had to bid nigh on 1 million pounds to get the Test Match, and they didnt know that the previous Test Match would be on their doorstep at Leeds. Botham also mentioned the stupidity of having the first 2 Tests at the 2 most northerly venues - madness.Apparently Durham will lose shedloads, and they are currently 5 mil in debt.
