So for those who aren't protesting due to the belief that the regime are leading us In the right direction ; is now a good time to start? The most unnecessary relegation ever.
10 points adrift, + 1 for the GD, time to wave goodbye and thank RD for a complete and utter cock up of appointing Luzon and Fraye, not getting in Championship experienced players and just killing this club, at least Riga tried but it was too little too late.
Yes, we need to start thinking about keeping a core of players for next season. However, Roland won't get that, and we'll be looking at a whole new load of (cheap) guys coming in, back to square one. All Riga's work over the last few weeks undone. And - inevitably - a new head coach too. Huh?
Fair play to Riga for throwing four attackers on from the start, and when Sanogo went down throwing Mak on instead of, say, Motta. I said before the game that JBG is the one who just has a little bit extra composure, always seems to have a half second longer on the ball and that might have been the difference today. Credit to Callum and Lookman who, even if they don't always make the right decisions, sounded fearless and kept driving at their defense (and also tracking back at key moments). I think and hope the composure and decision making will come with time for both. Callum is still only 21 I believe, and Lookman is 18.
You have to think that Igor, with four or five more games under his belt would have put away at least one of the chances.
Lastly, Nick Pope has to be our more improved player this year. He seems to really command his penalty area, and it sounds like he gets it and he's always looking to release it quickly and start the counter attack. Would be happy to have him start next season as our number 1 next year.
There's been a lot on here about "not fighting for the shirt" and "not knowing what it's like to be Charlton," which I don't massively buy in to, but by all accounts the team seems to have really fought in the last three matches, battled back from being harshly 1-0 down today to nearly find a winner. It was only a month or two ago that, after conceding near halftime, we were dead certs to go on and concede another couple in the second half. Riga really has made an impact, and has gotten a lot more out of Pope, Fox, Cousins, and Harriott to name a few, as well as bringing some cohesion and fight into the team. Hope he sticks around.
It's quite scary to imagine how many of the team playing today will still be at the club next season. And, of course, what will the replacements be like?
Pope, Solly, Harriott and Fox might be the only ones from the starting line up.

Don't assume Pope and Harriott will be here - Pope is sellable and the club may not take the option up on Harriott
As for the football season, i'm not too enthusiastic.
I hate you Roland and as for Katrien, well she's just a puppet. Blaming her is like blaming a burger flipper at McDonald's for what's on the menu. Roland is in charge of it all. He must go now and the campaign against him is already more important that that on the pitch. I have a feeling there a few of our fans that may well step outside the CARD approved protests and take out their frustration on the perceived powers that be. We will take him down and rebuild a better club. I know who's side i'd rather be on.

Season over.
The most unnecessary relegation ever.
Roland: Katrien, what happened, huh?
Katrien: It was all Jose's fault, he wouldn't pick those players I got for him in January.
Let's hope it's Goodbye Duchatelet/Meire and Hello Varney by the time we kick off next season.
Recent form decent but far too late to make a difference.
Protests need to be ramped up , and encouragement for Varneys lot to make an official bid
Saddened by not being bothered about going to games. Haven't been since Jan after having a season ticket since 1991.
But the whole 'we are down after today' is silly - we have been gone for ages.
At least we can all concentrate on getting the vermin out the club together now as surely there are no optimists left now.
What a shit day.
If we had had the current set of players under the current manager since the start of the season, we would surely have finished half way up the table.
Now watch the fire sale start as Douchbag starts to protect his interests.
Seriously, anyone who can't see what effing idiots we have running the club deserves sectioning.
Fed up of this useless regime.
