I'm continually amazed when they trot the players and coaches out to tell us how the Ozzie's bowl straight and accurate and stop us from saying Baz ball.

Did they not think this might happen?

You can’t blame AJ for that surely???

He barely threw a punch for the first 3 rounds and then took 3 rounds to get him out of there. I know Jake Paul was running and spent more time on his knees than Bonnie Blue, but he should have been throwing power punches like the one that got him out of there from the first bell. Although, I do have to give him his due, Paul did have a good chin.

Spent half the time running or hugging AJs knees. There was a massive risk of Jake being seriously hurt and still went home with a broken jaw even after AJ took it easy on him

AJ was probably told not to finish the fight too early so the paying public could get their money worth.

Does that mean he can’t talk
  • Load of shit. Hope that puts an end to this nonsense. Bloke has no business in ring with professionals. AJ will have had harder spars and was pulling every punch/ not taking open shots when he had them backed up.

Embarrassing the way he kept going down and grabbing his legs/ ankles. Utter nause.

The circus I expected it to be . AJ didn’t throw a punch until the fourth round and Jake Paul kept falling over like he has the proverbial clown boots on . Total joke

Utter farce. No one can blame Joshua for taking the money, but imagine paying to see that shit.

Paul falling to his knees constantly was a complete embarrassment.

Ideally we’d never see Paul in a boxing ring again, but I’d caveat that with the fact that I’d be more than happy to see someone take his utter prick of a brother’s head off.

Complete circus, but TBF it was a 22ft ring and Jake Paul circled the ring more times than a 10,000 metre runner! When he did come into contact, he fell to his knees in the most shambolic of fashions repeatedly, that would have had him disqualified by a better referee. Of course you can't run forever, and once he gassed it was all over, for the easiest $50 million ever collected!!

Jake Paul is a pointless waste of space. Why on earth does anyone pay attention to him?

Maybe a slightly unpopular take but I actually thought Joshua knew precisely what he was doing. It wasn't necessarily he was taking it easy or not bothering, he worked out fairly early on that Paul would be trying all the running/dancing/hugging to avoid an actual fight and just waited for him to run out of energy before clobbering him - AJ was getting paid either way.

If you look at some of the replays you can see a little smirk on his face before the KO very much like someone who has been waiting for something and now has his chance.

Think it would have helped if he bit down on his shield, mouth was wide open when he took that punch

It is a sad indictment of boxing as a sport that this fight was even promoted

Saw the 3 minute "highlights" earlier.
ref telling them "people didn't pay to see this crap!"
Logan Paul shouting to AJ about how his brother has won every round.
Seeing Jake Paul on his knees again.
Then the finishing punch. AJ just walking away afterwards knowing jobs done and luvly bit of Wonga coming his way.

Can't believe how much money those two Paul brothers got from doing Vine and YouTube videos.
I know they've done other things since such as this boxing sideshow.

One thing I will say. Jake Paul has got some bollocks on him.

I'm guessing it's his ego that makes him do it. Plus the money.

really does show the complete gulf between amature boxing and the professional game. Not sure how many punches landed on him but that one he went out to looked like it would flatten most.

That one punch was probably harder than all of the other punches he’s taken in his “career” to date added up.

I have to give Paul credit. Took a fight against AJ, made £50m+, made it 6 rounds (no matter how). Even landed a few shots.

How can u even hate on that?

No blame on AJ. Imagine the outcry if he had lost. JP's plan was to run for 8 rounds, but as soon as he tired, and as soon as AJ realised he didn't have the power to hurt him back, it was done. Was always a lose lose situation. Except the many millions he earnt.
