Fury is such an unlikeable cnt. What a ridiculous comment about the war

Good. Deserved. And Fury acting like a moron for the entire night looks even sillier now.
    ?

Fury lost by a single punch. Hardly got handled. Rematch is coming.
I thought Usyk fought a tactically smarter fight. He opened Fury up over the course of the fight and recovered from Fury’s best stuff to smash him up for two solid rounds. His left straight was like a trip hammer. He edged the last three or four as Fury didn’t have enough left to do much about it.

Fury thought he won the fight. No you didn't, but you have a rematch clause and that is all you care about. Money.
Shit fight for what should have been the biggest fight for 25 years

Think up to the nose breaking/bleeding Fury had Usyk's number quite clearly.

Post nose break/injury (think it was round 8?) Fury seemed to retreat into his shell and never looked comfortable since. Then knockdown happened and Fury was done for the next 2 rounds.

He didn’t break his nose treading on a garden rake.

There was a massive shift after the knock down if that punch hadn't landed I think Fury would have got it. At that point he had Uzyk's number.

TBH if he hadn't pissed about for the first 3 rounds he would probably have edged it regardless of the knock down.

It took a while to ignite but it was a great fight in the end.

One punch doesn't mean that he 'opened up Fury over the course of the fight' when it was clear from the early rounds that Fury was the one getting better and better up to the 8th round when it happened.
  • I think you have to consider that fact that Usyk, the much smaller man really took the fight to the much bigger man. Things like that might just sway a judge.

Usyk turning it on late is not something that has only happened in this fight tbf... basically his blueprint is taking the early rounds to try to figure them out and then pressing them. He looked spent early on, but as soon as he smelt blood turned it on
  • Usyk gotta be top 3 p4p now imo

Fletcher was wetting his knickers when Fury caught Usyk with an uppercut early on.
'He's in trouble here' came the cry.

He never looked in any trouble whatsoever.

Couple of the body shots definitely troubled Usyk in the 5/6/7th.

Wasn't in danger of getting knocked out but definitely felt them.

It wasn’t one punch. It was even after four rounds. Fury looked good for a bit then get absolutely battered for two rounds straight. I don’t agree it was one punch that turned the fight. I’ve not heard anyone else agree with that.
  • Watching this back again, that non-stoppage is dodgy as fuck. Fury doesn't actually hit the deck. Why does the ref stop this and give him a count... knee doesn't touch the canvas, nor do gloves. Either call the fight or let usyk take the punch that wouldve sent him to

There was a fight earlier in the night where the guy was out on his feet but basically squatted and the ref let the other fighter throw shots while he was basically on the floor.

  • I had Usyk by 2

& if that fight isn't for the undisputed heavyweight title, the referee stops it in the 9th.

Usyk a deserved winner.  He's such a warrior

If you're held up by the ropes it counts as a knockdown.

If anything they should've done the 8 count a lot earlier.

There's not actually a clear definition of when there should be a standing 8, is there? I know it's at the discretion of the ref, that fury fought on and and we saw a great fight, but the ref is there to protect the boxer. Fury was on rollerskates and had been all over the place wobbling from one side of the ring to the other. Letting him get his head smashed in repeatedly all across the ring showing no guard and no ability to fight back does not warrant a standing 8, its a TKO, he was wobbling trying to find what little of the ring he could use to prop himself up, with no idea where he was. Whether he recovered well or not is irrelevant, we have seen boxers get brain damage/worse taking less than fury took when he was out on his feet
