I would have loved to see Floyd/Manny fight 3 or 4 years before they actually did, but at least they did get it on. AJ will probably end his career without fighting either Fury or Wilder and that's a disgrace.
Spence for me tonight but it really is a 50/50 match up.
Spence said he wants to activate the rematch clause which i can understand in the immediate aftermath of a defeat, but i honestly hope that's just his heart talking and he doesn't go through with it.
Crawford was levels above and i can't imagine Spence saw anything there that made him think 'yeah i can take this guy next time'.
What a performance. Immaculate display of vicious punching and lightning hands
There are some decent fights left for Crawford - Ortiz, maybe Crowley. Spence should forget all about a rematch and maybe move up to Light Middle where there are some potential big fights - Charlo (although Canelo may put paid to that in September) or perhaps Tszyu. Or, if he gets good advice, retire with his head held high - that was a bad beat and the last few years have been hard on him.
Frustratingly I managed to fall asleep as they were about to Ringwalk and stirred in time to see Crawford inviting Spence on before absolutely battering him. Having watched the whole fight now I'm in awe of what Crawford has done there. He made a very, very good fighter in Spence look like someone who had truly bitten off more than they could chew. His timing was immaculate and whoever said it was like watching a peak Mayweather is right, except I dont ever remember Floyd being that outright destructive regardless of opponent or calling them on in the way Crawford did in the round it all ended.
And I have to say, what a pair of champions, both behaved excellently in the build up, went to war and showed the same respect they had shown each other before the fight as after. Crawford was decent enough to make sure Spence was ok before rightly celebrating. And credit to the pair of them for making this fight, boxers are all too quick to blame promoters or tv companies or money to not make fights happen like in the heavyweight division currently and the disgraceful state thats in. These two just did what was necessary to make the fight happen and I applaud them both.
I hope Erroll Spence junior is OK, he seemed to come back incredibly well from that car wreck he was in a few years ago but maybe after that and the career he has had his family and him can have a think and maybe say enough is enough. He is a champ still who did not duck anyone and has a very strong and legitimate legacy to sit back on, just hope he has been paid well for taking on anyone and everyone
I had an odd number in my betfair account and decided to put all the odd money on a Crawford stoppage which has given me another odd number but a higher one than before!

I reckon they run it back at 154, Crawford batters him again and then fights Charlo and clears up there. Ive always rated Bud, but that performance last night was something special. Never seen speed and accuracy like that. He was too slick, to quick and I think thst cements him as p4p king

Aj will fight wilder after Dillion next
Providing he wins of course.
For sure, that's not the same as avoiding a fight though

He just looks so afraid of getting hurt, even against some of Helenius' calibre. A fight v Whyte would have been genuinely interesting this time round I think

Like watching Mayweather back in his prime (before Welterweight), just a beat down.
