Some strange scores to sum up a strange fight. I figured CBS would get the decision with all the deductions but I had it a lot closer than the 2 judges that gave it to him.
What last night also did was justify Davison's decision to throw the towel in the first fight. Allowed for the quick turnaround and executed the gameplan perfectly last night
Met Tris Dixon in the pub today. Lovely fella. No spoilers but his next book should be explosive.
In the meantime, if you haven’t read ‘Damage’ yet I would absolutely implore you to do so. I’ve read all the well publicised books on boxing but this one stands out head and shoulders above the rest for importance and to be fair it’s written very well.

Tris Dixon is up there as one of the elite boxing journalists, damage is a really valuable read, really, really uncomfortable but important. Ive met Tris a handful of times in passing at shows at York Hall, Alexandre Palace, excel centre and MEN arena. He is a physical specimen, a pure meat wall and a handshake that could crush bowling balls
Eddie Hearn also saying that AJ-Wilder is pretty much a done deal for December.........if AJ beats Whyte. So at last we're actually getting some fights.
AJ-Whye Usyk-Dubois Joyce-Zhang
Meanwhile Fury is sitting around calling everyone a dosser on twitter.
Just watched a re-run of the Inoue fight from yesterday. Absolutely unreal fighter.
Undefeated and now a 4-weight world champion. It's a shame he fights at weights no one really cares about as he's a generational fighter.
Looks like he'll fight Tapales in a bid to unify the 122 pound division later this year then move up to featherweight in 2024, but not sure he can put the weight on to go up any further. It's a shame he isn't a stone heavier as it'd be good to see him in a super fight v Tank or Haney.
Personally i'm edging towards Crawford as i just feel he's the slightly better fighter and will adapt better to how the fight is going. Very close call though.
Very, very excited by this fight. And whoever wins I've got nothing but the utmost respect for the fighters involved.
I've put my money where my mouth is on Terence Crawford, been a fan of his since he bashed Ricky Burns up years ago and that wasn't the slowed down version of Ricky Burns. Its as close to a 50/50 fight as you can get my feeling is Crawford is the more adaptable fighter, is the tougher fighter and more spiteful puncher but all my a small margin compared to Spence

The biggest fight possible in the world of boxing today - also very excited.
I'm not a million miles away from that assessment. Crawford has slightly the greater ring craft but Spence is maybe just ahead on power being a more natural Welter - not that Crawford is just a blown up Lightweight! Spence has also had a couple of tough years outside the ring which may take it's toll late on. Crawford late stoppage or narrow points for me.
The fight is a couple of years late but they are both still at the top of their games (or very close) - unlike Floyd/Manny!

I'm not entirely sure which of those options is worse.
Genuinely one of worst world champions in history.
Big domestic dust up v Warrington and The City Ground could be next
plus Usyk V Dubois announced today
Usyk v Dubois is a mismatch
