According to Henderson, we only need to win 6 matches, easy, let's go
That's rather optimistic of him! I reckon 7 wins at least, given our lousy goal difference. We have to go from a win percentage of less than 15% so far this season to almost 50% for the remainder. Can anybody honestly see that happening?!
That performance didn't inspire much confidence, BUT the last 20 minutes showed we are a much bigger threat when we play 2 up top and with some positive intent.
I like Riga but I think he made an error on Saturday. I know it's easy in hindsight but JBG, Reza and Bergdich offered virtually nothing going forward. Jackson and Cousins sat very deep so there we always had men back, and Reza and Bergdich both played quite far forward. Can't help but think with either Sanogo/Lookman as a partner for Mak would have been a much bigger threat going forward without losing anything defensively, Reza would have been the man to go for me, with JBG on the right and Bergdich on the left.
Very frustrating at the end when Fox had a few throw ins in the attacking third and nobody was moving for him. Ba and Poyet were both covering the same space and didn't move, they couldn't even blame it on tired legs.
To be fair we played Lookman as a partner to Mak the previous week, and he struggled. I guess Sanago isn't match fit enough to start, but I thought he definitely posed an attacking threat
I actually think Hendo could be right. Having looked at all the remaining fixtures across the league, there are certainly some winnable ones and our relegation rivals have lots of tough matches.
We need to actually win these so called winnable games but if we do, we've got every chance to stay up.
At the moment the teams above us will think they're slightly comfortable, they've got a five point gap between themselves and Rotherham and might relax a little bit... If Charlton / Bolton win two matches anytime soon though, those nerves will instantly return as there will a further side in the mix, those who hold their nerve when it matters most will survive
Do not forget, just our luck we will be passing a neighbour on the way down, at least two games more we may win
Thanks MillwallFan, always rely on you to boost my LOL's
Sorry mate, just when you was all saying at the end of last season that "we won't be playing you lot for another 20 years!" I didn't think you meant because we'd be in a higher division than you! ;-)

Think you are getting a bit ahead of yourself there.
(Though not playing millwall for 20 years is something a lot of Charlton supporters would be happy enough about).

What's really depressing is the prospect of being a division behind Gillingham!

Not at all. It was Ross who mentioned us passing each other. I can't see us going up, even before tonight's result. If we could match our home form with our away form then we'd be looking at the automatic spots, but we just can't seem to get it right at home. If we don't start picking more points up at home we'll struggle to make play offs. Still, we're a far way away from 'dropping through the leagues' predictions by some on here at the end of last season and beginning of this one, so I'm happy with that. And also, this is a transitional period for us with a lot of promising youngsters coming through, so if we fail this year I'm sure we'll be giving it a good go next season.

Would they be classed as your main rivals? What with the Kent connection?

I meant Gillingham not your club. Of course you believe that right!

Not for me. It would be like Ipswich being a division below Colchester
How are Millwall in the sodding play-off places? They lost tonight and they're still there o_O
I think it's because, despite tonight's result, we've managed to accumulate more points than all the teams below us. I think that's how it works anyway.
