If you couldn't hear them, how do you know they were risqué?harveys gardener said:There were a couple of risque chants that I couldn't hear. Anyone?

well done RM, I appreciate your involvement in the protests, you may not have been in the car park but you have done as much from your keyboard3

Aha, so that's RM's excuse for sitting back and cosying up to Meire and RDTellyTubby said:
Exactly what Jim Davidson tweeted. Not sure if that supports the validity or not.lancashire lad said:a supporter sitting near me and sporting a B&W scarf told he he talked to RM before the match and was told that protest was pointless unless you have £50m to buy out the Belgians. I don't know the credibility of this but pass it on as FYI.

You are not allowed to put EPL scores on the match thread:-)Addickted2U said:Hahaha - match thread still open to post that Palarse are losing 3-0 on a Sunday afternoon.
Brilliant, the number of views and posts on this thread.12 -
Would be interesting if we could find out how much of what was being chanted could be heard inside the lounge, and also when Meire left. Presumably by a back entrance?1

I'm so sorry.mogodon said:Would be interesting if we could be inside Meires back entrance?

Smuggled out of the ground lol... Just shows how 'successful' she has been.mogodon said:Would be interesting if we could find out how much of what was being chanted could be heard inside the lounge, and also when Meire left. Presumably by a back entrance?
Next job interview: what was your best achievement at Charlton?
A. I bravely 're-enacted the tunnel scene from The Great Escape.
Actually this would make a great poster ... Nug/Stig?4 -
Yeah, accepted. Not the usual match thread is it when you can comment on a 'Super Sunday' match, especially when the Nigels have been well and truly stuffed?Dansk_Red said:

It was about 5 30 when KM and RM were moved out of the boardroom I guess to be escorted out. Saw some of the lounge users leaving via the players entrance. Not sure if KM and RM left via this exitmogodon said:Would be interesting if we could find out how much of what was being chanted could be heard inside the lounge, and also when Meire left. Why would KM be on here? Restaurants don't have forums, there isn't a Frankie and Benny's Life so I doubt she even thinks we exist!Redmidland said:@AFKABartram....is 68.2 k the largest match thread? Wonder if KM/RM are reading it as well so they get a feel for the way we feel about the way the club is being run!!

Hi all sorry to hijack this thread but I need some help .I am trying to find the link to radio show tonight the charlton one please. Thanks in advance.0

Never thought I would see the day that Richard Murray would have to be escorted/sneaked out of The Valley.4

There was one of "you Belgian w*nkers, get out of our club!" which some might find risqué. There may have been others I didn't hear, but the vast majority were good humoured and appropriate IMO.DA9 said:

How about the next protest is a polite but vocal welcoming party to escort Meire from the station to the ground (might have to be some early risers). Would make a good picture, Meire surrounded by happy CAFC supporters with banners, dressed in black and white. The question would be whether she could maintain the grin all the way to the ground.1

Assume the club had to foot the bill for this lot. An expensive 2% ...7

And so kind of the cops to wear Black and White hats. Impressive solidarity from the Met.32

Indeed, good for them for a changeAnna_Kissed said:And so kind of the cops to wear Black and White hats. Impressive solidarity from the Met.

Wonder if we could hire one of those mobile billboards towed by a bike to ride up and down Floyd Road for next home game.

To be honest, for the first few minutes I thought it was all going to go wrong. Some bloke was shouting abuse at west standers who weren't staying to protest. (I understand the sentiment, but I don't think yelling abuse at people is likely to win them over.) The atmosphere was fairly aggressive and whilst advancing towards the doors was a nice move in terms of intimidating those indoors I did feel a bit sorry for the stewards trying to maintain order. There was plenty of swearing in the songs, but nothing out of the ordinary. There were one or two shouts along the lines of 'where is the fucking bitch?' too.harveys gardener said:There were a couple of risque chants that I couldn't hear. Anyone?
Without doubt the more mainstream chants and songs got more take-up, which helped, as they got repeated more.0 -
Moved closer to try to hear as it was a small group near front chanting. People were laughing and a guy said I hope the videos don't pick up that one.DA9 said:

You will always get one or two who can't hold themselves back, But we can rest assured it was only 2% of the 2%Uboat said:

Had a conversation with the copper far right. Tried to get into hospitality to confront KM. Good natured banter with him but WPC next to him was giving me daggers. Very professional response in volatile circumstances when senior officers seemed absent. Hats off to him. Would have been different only a few years ago. Promote the guy.mogodon said:Assume the club had to foot the bill for this lot. An expensive 2% ...

Buy a club languishing in the relegation zone of the Championship for £20,000,000.lancashire lad said:a supporter sitting near me and sporting a B&W scarf told he he talked to RM before the match and was told that protest was pointless unless you have £50m to buy out the Belgians. Sell it two years later, in the relegation zone of the Championship for £50,000,000.

I'd love to see some of the usage stats and analytics for CL recently, I presume there's a few rather interesting visitors!Redmidland said:@AFKABartram....is 68.2 k the largest match thread?
