After travelling to Burnley Saturday I had a lot of thinking to do on the train home. We were poor, this is obvious. If we are getting thumped by Burnley we obviously don't have the players to perform regularly in this division. Maybe relegation could be a blessing in disguise. We could clear out some dead wood then get some seasoned pros in like Joey Barton who could be just what we need. Come on you Addicks!

And we wouldn't be back in 3 seasons next time with these clowns in charge.
Now you are saying we were poor, we need to get rid of the "deadwood" (sic) and going down would be a good thing.
And you have the need to start a new thread every time.
Think you might be trying just a little too hard to get a reaction.
-There will be a contraction in finances
-Katrien was recently lauding how well she'd done at tying up the majority of the squad on multi year deals so I'm not sure how we would clear out the "deadwood"'
-Charlton are a less enticing prospect for a potential new owner in league one
-We'll be in a far weaker position to attract fans who might otherwise be tempted to go to watch West Ham at the Olympic Stadium if we start two divisions apart (although, of course a according to Katrien this isn't s risk)
-Our exciting young prospects will far less inclined to stay with us for a season (or three) of being kicked around at Fleetwood & Oldham when the big Premier league teams come knocking.
And that's just off the top of my head. So no, you couldn't be more wrong, relegation at this point within the current context will be one of the worst things to happen to this football club, it's almost a perfect storm from which we will struggle to fully recover, ever.
I remember back in 2006 when it became obvious that we were going to get relegated people were saying things like..." Oh, that's okay, we will piss it next year". Look how that panned out!
I have seen us get relegated 5 times up to now and I don't want it to happen again. We simply have to stay up this season.
Should the worst happen and it very well might. None of the above barring Johnnie Jackson would be in place and we all know his legs have gone ;0)
Just look at Sheffield Utd still waiting to come good. It's a very tough division.
Which of course is why we have to fight to get 'change now to survive in this league'. I think a public call for a vote of no confidence in KM and a time frame for a new manager\coach needs to be activated as soon as possible.
This really is not working, and change needs to be addressed now, we need to unite as supporters and send a clear message to the board.
Hopefully enough like minded fans will rally behind this position. To accept relegation without a fight is not the answer.
Look at clubs like Tranmere & Grimsby always been around our level when I was growing up, I do believe we could follow them.
Far better to have been born in the 50s.
Unfortunately I expect the latter.
