The problem is, if a boycott is arranged for the Ipswich game, people will just assume we haven't bothered to turn up cos it's on the telly, rather than we're staying away in protest. If instead, we can pad the Lower West (especially near the tunnel), the bottom of the NW quadrant, and the North Lower with fans in black and white, with protest banners or leaflets, it's more likely to get picked up by the telly cameras and commented on.
Depressed and not just because I've got a rotten chest cold.
It was worth a try and I'm glad of all the support and encouragement especially from @Addickted2TheReds who is a very young fan putting a lot of older fans to shame by actually stepping up, being active, getting involved and DOING SOMETHING. We need more people like him, not old fogeys like me.
So what now for "Spell it out in Black and White"?
I think the concept is still good, the visual impact would still be good, the way that people can easily and cheaply show support is sound.
My four aims were deliberately set at a level that the CEO could accept but which would also bring about some internal change.
But events and the fans mood have moved beyond being reasonable or working with the club now.
So keep the campaign name, keep the colours idea but change the aims.

I think there can only be one aim now. Roland Out!

Disagree, I think the four aims are still a good starting point. Escalation from there depends on what the response to those four reasonable requests is/isn't.

fair enough, maybe I need to think it through with a clear head.
No im with you HI. I feel bridges have been completely burnt now and dicking around with nicety small wins just simply don't cut the mustard personally.
I don't think Charlton will ever feel like Charlton while this man still owns it, and this lady still runs it.

RD doesn't even listen when fans storm his office ... we need a practical approach to this ... he has no emotion.

I hate agreeing with a promote thief but I'm certainly moving to that position.

But you need actual objectives over and above telling them to leave.

What's a promote thief, Henry?
The Ipswich game is a great opportunity to make a visible gesture, as a starter, some embarrassment being caused to our clueless owners isn't bad. I'm not sure what form this best takes - does anyone have a few thousand merchandise catalogues hanging around though?
So keep the campaign name, keep the colours idea but change the aims.

A few years ago did the Liege fans not protest against RD? Does anyone know if they succeeded in any way & if so what course of action they took?
An idea I had for The Spell it out in Black & White campaign someone who knows how to create a fan pledge site could create one then with the money earned a job lot of black & white scarfs could be purchased then given to fans at the Ipswich game. Maybe a stall could be set up near the sellers outside the ground, I'm sure Sky sports would want to know why black & white scarfs are being worn by Charlton fans.

They had a riot, smashed up their stadium and broke into Luzon's office (while he was there). I think he wasn't particularly fazed, there's a YouTube video somewhere.
RD's stubbornness and intransigence is beginning to look like Oyston at Blackpool (although Oyston has been nastier in his approach) - the problem there has been that Oyston does not care about the fans at all and is allowing the club to be run into the ground - we need to avoid that attitude from RD.

This might be a good idea.
I had spoken to the guy selling merch by where Rick sells VOTV.
But I'm not sure I want to rely on that and then he brings about 50 of them!
To his mate, who appears to be even worse than him. There's a big gap between the Socios kicking off at Standard and RD selling, I would imagine the motivation was the Belgian FA not allowing him to own two teams (St Truinden & Standard) in the same division.
ARGOS do Black & White Scarfs for £4.65 - Free P&P or Collect from local store. 8 ordered by me for the family and friend who sit together in the North Upper........

Surely this is where the trust need to get involved and really communicate these campaigns with fans? They have the biggest reach, so if this/boycotts/protests behind the West stand are going to actually happen they've got to help get them going

Not into the personal stuff - especially not about wishing someone dead!
