popicon - please explain why as I Don't understand your comments
  • So, cheerleaders next to a 6ft cigarette and a sign staying "STOP". Hmmm.
  • FFS we ain't Palarse!!!!
  • Just screams Palace. F off.
  • Not for me but remember that some girls really enjoy it - so don't be too harsh. My 11 year old has been doing cheerleading for a year, for her it's just another string to her bow, along with ballet.

  • Agree with the OP. Cheerleaders are shite and add nothing to any football match.
  • They were children not the over made up slappers at palace.
If they enjoyed it good luck to them.
  • My dad who is 88 said this was the best part of the day!

    I hope you replied...

Years ago when he we used to bring out former players to do the draw it was worth watching. We obviously could not have anything to do with our history now though.
  • What was the point of all that then !

Wonder how many people have given up smoking because of it?

Perhaps we could bring the former players back but make them dress up as cheerleaders that way everyones happy (maybe not if Stuart Balmer or Peter Garland get the gig!).
  • I dunno, I'd pay good money to see Stuart Balmer dressed as a cheerleader. Or more accurately, to see Stuart Balmer's reaction to having to dress as a cheerleader.
  • What a disaster... These f-ing Belgiums havnt got a clue about us ...

I have! Trouble is, now I have a cheerleader addiction.
None. All the smokers were in the upper north toilets while this was going on....

Darren Pitcher was my favourite. The Covered End went mad!
  • I complained about the americanization of the valley after the first game of this season...measures like this are making me feel more 'meh' about watching charlton by the week.

I ALMOST felt sorry for the poor bastard as he slunk off like a salted snail, and almost considered pausing from hurling abuse at the top of my lungs at the traitorous git (some wounds never heal).

Dont you mean Belgification? ( its like Americanization except they put mayo on chips and a sofa in the corner).
  • Reckon there would be more interest if 10 random blokes were dragged from the boozer, told to take their tops off and do a dance.

Would be hilarious having the beer guts bouncing around, I wonder if the club have thought of that idea?
