Bromley lost 2-1 last night but Moses Emmanuel scored his 15th goal of the season!

Should definitely try to get to Bromley if you're at a loose end this weekend.
  • He's a good lad, friend of my eldest.
When my son was in the selKent rep team his Sunday side had 12 reps in it, Sam was one of the only players from another side.
Think he's one of the only ones to have gone onto better things football wise.
Was round my house not too long ago, top lad, feet on the ground, wish him well.

  • Bromley have sacked Mark Goldberg, which seems a bit mad http://bit.ly/1nIAlMi

how strange - the new investors presumably believe they should be a league club

Ridiculous, they may have lost a few games recently but this is their first year in the division and they've had a great season.
  • Almost like he dug himself his grave when they were briefly on the fringes of the Play-Offs

Oh wow, midtable in the National League and Bromley sack their manager?! They won the National League South last season! What a dreadful decision... surely there's no harm to consillidate in the league and then build on it next season?

I guess though if you follow Bromley, at least on the other hand it shows ambition to be in the Football League asap..

    - an envious follower of Welling
  • What a crazy crazy decision. no one was calling for this, it doesn't look like they'll be relegated in their first season up which was the only aim, so I don't know what more could be asked of him! results may not have been there in the past few weeks, but the hard work was done way back in September!
  • Always been a fan of Mark Goldberg.

Prefer his brother... He was great in Jurassic Park

Most successful manager in their history. Sacked after one poor spell because they have new investors with higher expectations.

Do I not like new investors?

Their sister Whoopi has also done alright too......
  • Mark Goldberg should be knighted, shame he didn't get to finish the job (no reference to his Bromley managerial position)

He's had a strange career path, not many people start of in the boardroom as Investor/Chairman of a league club, and later on end up in the dugout as manager of a non league club. It's not as if he had a football background (like Francis Lee or Dave Whelan) either.

Imagine Martin Simons or Roger Alwen reemerging as manager of Dartford or Welling!

Mark did play a bit of non-league for Bromley and Beckenham Town so not completely void of football experience but I know what you're getting at.

Always felt sympathy for him losing a rake of dough at palice, shame to lose the money at a club he supports as well.
  • Bromley begin life without Goldberg with their re-arranged home fixture v Grimsby Town today.

They say the pitch is looking good despite all the bad weather - looking forward to it.

    Anyone going?
