A test for the newcomers to English Championship football. A siege mentality is needed throughout, not to park the bus, but to decide quickly on the safe option defensively, and the very fast option in offence. If Derby score in the first twenty five minutes, the best I would expect is a draw, a comeback win away is a rare thing. If we can hold out well for the first third, with one or two things for them to think about thrown in, then I believe our confidence might grow into the game. The period just after half time is crucial too. Set up properly I think we have enough about us to win, but not of course if our new guys are overwhelmed by the big stadium big crowd effect. There is something in our attacking threat that will lead to a couple of very decent chances if we play our cards right. I reckon we should not go headless chicken, but dare to win, and I believe we have a fighting chance of winning.
No Tony Watt is a big worry - Though a great start, I feel we will do what we always do, become the whipping boys to kick start someone else s season, In this case Derby's [Same ole Charlton]. And whenever I read pre-match articles such as this - Guy Luzon has confidence that his players can come away from Saturday’s fixture against Derby County with all three points. Always spells doom
Seen a Derby fan elsewhere mention that some of their bus services have been cancelled for their fans and there is an event with Wiggins/Cavendish nearby so it will probably be hell getting to the ground fyi.

1-0 but a lot of positives for us still.
3-2 to us. Bauer 1st goal 40/1. Watt and JBG with the other two.

Or am I just being pessimistic?
