Saw Mitov for the first time yesterday and apart from one mistake which led to their disallowed goal, I thought he was excellent and a prospect for maybe a couple of years from now as 1st team back up. We have a wealth of talent at goalkeeper level, maybe not prem quality, but certainly Championship and Championship potential.
I'm not convinced loopy, that the back up guys are at this moment up to a very good championship level, not to say they won't get there ( or might not) but I don't think they are there yet, Hendo may be completely injury free next season, or he might struggle and go missing for a few months, we certainly hugely missed him when he was injured this season.
Hamer at 27 should just be hitting his peak years. He needs away from Leicester and get a first team gig in the championship. Be a crying shame if he sits out the best years of his career warming Leicesters or anyone else's bench.

A better goal scorer than our other keepers too!
We seem to have a number of decent young keepers, it reminds slightly of the time when we had Randolph and Elliott coming through, but brought Weaver in anyway. A good interview with Randolph in the Brum programme yesterday
He played really well when called upon for Leicester, so I can only imagine his attitude, or maybe childish behavior doesn't fit in up there?? Possibly he moans too much about not being number 1.
I rated him and always thought he could have gone on to be a top keeper but it didn't pan out like that, and I actually think Hendo is a brilliant replacement for him so we have no need for him coming back. He'll be a top end Champ keeper next season, unless he chases the ££££ and sits on the bench for another Prem club.
Hamer was ok. Nowhere near as good as Hendo and imo not as good as Alnwick. Wouldn't want him back. If he leaves Leicester will be interesting to see where he ends up.

Henderson's only failing that I can see is his fitness.
If he could play 100 consecutive games what an asset he would be.
Hammer could be great but he could also flap and when he made a mistake his head went for a long time.
When Hendo charges out to take a cross my heart isn't in my mouth the way it was with Hamer.
Hendo makes errors like every GK but recovers mentally right away unlike Hammer.
My only issue with Hamer leaving is that the previous regime let him leave on a free so denying us a fee to aid team strengthening but that was the Spivs fault not Hamer's or Roland's.
Leciester get relegated and he will be number one next season
Schmeichel off to a prem team and Schwarzer will retire
I don't think Leicester will be relegated though.
They have won their last three matches and scored 10 goals in their last four games and have the following remaining fixtures:
Burnley Away (scored just one goal in their last seven games) Chelsea Home Newcastle Home (lost six on the spin) Southampton Home (just one point from last four away games) Sunderland Away (one win in last 10 and that was Newcastle with defeats to Palace, West Ham, Villa, Bradford and QPR) Q P R Home (two wins in last 17)
Leicester have now won five of their last six only losing to Chelsea and are looking increasingly unlikely to be relegated.
If Hamer wants first team football he will have to lower his sights.
Agree that Hendo is a better keeper, but if we had Hamer we would probably had finished higher up the table last year.
Hendos injury record means that he is likely to miss large chunks of each season. Hamer is better than any OTHER keeper we have at the club and would have saved us more points across the whole season than Hendo was able to do.
He has signed for forest now anyway so this is all moot
I don't think Ben was ever going to come back to be honest, I'm sure he enjoyed his time here, but like a lot of other former Charlton players', I'm sure he has 'moved 'on.
Think he deserves a bit of respect if and when he does face us this season, and for that reason he will get a clap from me.
Ben Hamer was and is as mad as a bunch of frogs. He left Charlton in credit, and is a decent Championship level keeper. Hence why a few champ clubs were after him.
To show respect to Ben all razors should be binned till Jan 2nd when we play Forest at home.

Why do our already excellent core of keepers get so readily discounted? I haven't even mentioned Phillips and Mitov.
Henderson is an upgrade on Ben though.

Always better to be playing though.
Him in 1 goal and the world's most expensive keeper at the other end.
