It quite clearly states that its not really going to be about the football.
I’m at the Valley. I’ve recently moved within ten minutes’ walk of this crimson beacon and I imagine I’ll be spending a lot of time here, so figure it’s time to start cataloguing my impressions of the matches, team, and other Addick curiosities. I know nothing about the practicable nature of football, but that’s never prevented my enjoyment. Instead, I hope to share with you all some of my aesthetic observations.
"There are some lovely boots on display today. I often use them to orient myself in a match where players might otherwise blur into something like a painting by Bruegel"
"especially deckchair-resplendent today and transmitting a loud energy, which I assume is eating into the players"
There were a bunch of kids with them in East stand Block H, I believe.
i wasn't doubting that the young lady's spelling is impeccable. I just haven't heard one since South Africa 2010. Either I'm going deaf in my old age or the sounds didn't reach as far as Block D - most likely the former. All I heard was the bloke next to me moaning as usual (even after we had won).

Me: Nooo that aint Williams, and nothing happened for a booking.
Referee now books Watt and Williams
Me: See its just a yellow for both player so cant have been Williams
Referee now pulls out red card
Me: Cheering / Clapping the decision, inside Im thinking... bugger got that wrong
Always good to read a different slant on the familiar and I enjoyed her descriptive style too.
