Solid in defence and played some super through-balls. If only we had some players with the guile to get on the end of them.

I think we have now Tony Watt is here - he looked a real handful on Saturday and when match fit.....fingers crossed!
  • According to @Scoutinginfo on twitter, a guy from Israel who tweets about english and israeli footie, tal is in negociations with Maccabi Haifa. However he said he isn't sure that they will be about to meet his wage demands. Apparently being reported in a lot in Israeli media. Great.

I hope there is absolutely no truth in it and is just a rumour that started after Luzon was appointed due to the fact that he didn't want him at Liege.
  • By far our best player on the pitch at the minute.

If this is true........... LUZON OUT!!!!!!!!!!!
  • Take a look at his transfer news from last season. None of the signings happened.
  • Curb_It said:

And Charlton life have sponsored him as we needed to replace Morrison.

    That's him sold by 31 Jan then : - )

He is under contract to us still end of season ... So they will have to pay for him as well as meet his wages ....
Plus he may not fit into the way we are going to play it's going to be more direct football

so when we are losing and playing hoofball will you still be positive?

Yeah he looks very hit and miss, thankfully.

Gaz, FFS, at least let there be 12 pages of RD/GL out before we try and find an objective post to this tweet.

No they weren't. Some were, some weren't.

Never been doubts about his ability, I've been really impressed (and surprised actually) by how motivated he's been this season

Ok, I know you have a far superior memory to me, but my abiding memory was a no thanks from most if not all.

My favourite quote from that thread belongs to @‌kentaddick

'from what i can tell Peeters is seen in belgium a lot like roberto martinez.'

    If only.

Birmingham did not have to pay for Morrison

I was thinking about when it first appeared on Twitter that he would sign for us, it was a while before he eventually did. When a few Israeli Journalists said it would happen, I know Twitter went into meltdown but that doesn't take much, I am sure it was mostly negative on here.

    @Henry Irving

This is more what I like my useless recall remembered, although it does predate the transfer window he actually joined in, plus some are positive....

Everton can't buy a win and are on the slide in mid table ... Martinez is also losing his hair!

Suggest we get a message to Guy pronto advising him that TAL is our best player by a country mile (or whatever that is in Hebrew?)

TBH only signed for a year so Maccabi are likely to be discussing a contract for next season when he is free - and of course he can discuss contracts now with whomever he chooses.

Personally he should be our captain as he is guaranteed to start if fit whereas Jackson isn't any more

Because they're a foreign team he can actually sign a pre-contract agreement with them now can't he ?
  • Perhaps after 10 years in the UK and a year in Belgium, and almost 33 - Ben Haim wants to go home?

Maybe he has family issues to consider.

and I say fair enough good luck to him just wait until the end of the season please.

I thought his family were settled in Cobham following his Chelsea days.

That's my point - he's entitled to do it - doesn't mean he is off right away

  • People make me bloody laugh! When he came in everyone was slating him!! I knew he was the best signing we've had in a long time!! Prob same with Luzon!!
  • TBH wears the number 26 shirt here at Charlton.

I didn't realise before that TBH has also worn the 26 shirt at Chelsea and some of his other clubs.

Right, back to reading my book ......
