First met Kevin over 30 years ago when as a youngster I was a regular at Marvels Lane Boys Club. I spent many of my teenage years down there with Kevin driving us to Pool, football and other activities. All the best and get well soon mate.
Kevin Nolan 100% a Charlton man. His passion always come out in his Writing, Never anodyne, A guy who proves that the pen is mightier than the sword. Get well soon and get back to your spiritual home, the valley. For all Charlton Fans. There's only one Kevin Nolan.

I spoke to Kevin before the game on Saturday and he was his usual self, attending the game with Hazel as usual. So sorry to hear this Kev, get well soon old pal. Absolutely proper Charlton.
Kevin the Mercury man,`Messenger of the Gods ` eloquent, clever, and quick witted, always was and is my favourite go to Charlton reporter. Get well soon Kevin, and best wishes from a lot of your Fans !!!
I've met Kevin socially a couple of times, although I'm sure he won't remember. Absolutely key Charlton character in recent decades and top class journalist. Best wishes for a speedy recovery.
Have known Kevin for over 30 years - an absolute diamond.
Was friends with his son at school and went to many a Charlton game with them back in the 80s.
Also played Cricket with Kevin for Marvels Lane Boys Club - we were awful and I don't think Kevin scored a run all season!
My favourite memory of Kevin came at Wembley 1991, England v Ireland European Championship qualifier, in a packed house and a pretty edgy atmosphere.
Kevin, who I knew was a staunch Ireland fan, was sat about two rows in front of me in the middle of a whole bunch of beered up England fans and with England 1-0 up Kevin was sitting on his hands.
Out of nowhere Niall Quinn equalised for Ireland and Kevin jumps out - not giving a toss he's the only Irishman in the whole block - and yells out, "Yes! Get in there!" - much to the consternation of those around him.
Get well soon mate, I actually hate you for writing better than I will ever be able to and for being a better raconteur than I will ever be but you have got plenty to do yet so don't you be going anywhere!
Get well soon Kevin, all the best to Hazel and the family. True Charlton, true gent, have shared some brilliant laughs and memories with him over the years.
And occasionally best non-write-ups too, when the game had been really quite dull, but he'd take a minor detail and go off on some elaborate flight of fancy. Get well soon Kevin.
