Incredible knowledge of all things CAFC and great entertainment on the stadium tour - gave us a very funny team talk in the dressing room! Hope you're better soon Kevin and best wishes to the Nolan family.
Spent many an hour sitting in the car with Kev travelling to away games during the 80's and 90's. Great bloke, great journalist, great sense of humour but not such a great driver. Get well soon mate. All the best to you, Hazel and the family xx.
Get well soon Kevin. You write the only Charlton match reports worth reading (IMHO). Look forward to reading your report of the FA Cup defeat, when you're better, and able to write it comfortably.
Wishing Kevin a speedy recovery, and thoughts with friends and family. Always enjoy reading his reports - tells it like a true fan, but in a very entertaining style.

Only meet Kevin a couple of times, the first was extermely memorable for all concerned, me and my boy we're going up to Manchester to see charlton in the premiership, got caught in a minor traffic jam, as some prat had decided to mate with the centre reservation, it was at a service station. Boy was wearing his charlton shirt and when we parked these 3 Herbert's saddled up to us and asked if we could take the to the ground, one was Kevin, had a good laugh on the way up and back. Second time we meet up was at a tour, which he was taking around the valley, Kevin rather embrassingly told everyone of our exploits that day.
Good luck Kevin and I hope you feel better soon, hope we meet up again soon, but perhaps not in the middle of the M1.
Shocked to to read this. A lovely funny entertaining guy. I saw him on away coach once (when i went on a a rare away), really passionate. Hope he mades a really good recovery. His match reports were something else.
Have had the pleasure of meeting Kevin a couple of times over the years, including when running the line at the old bin for a Charlton staff v Spanners staff and Kevin played. GuinnessAddick was on the other line and our pal (a spanner) was ref. Pretty sure we "looked after" him well that day with decisions!
Brilliant writer of match reports and a fantastic raconteur, who lives and breathes Charlton. Get well soon Kevin and best wishes also to your family.

As a youngster and with limited coverage of Charlton , The Mercury was the most important read of the week
...unless it was written by Kevin.

Sorry to hear he has not been well, get well soon Kevin
I met Kevin on the Charlton Life Tour a few years back and he came across as a man who bled Charlton.
Best wishes for a good, quick recovery.
I am friends with his step-son, so I heard about the news when it happened and got this message:
"He is arguing with the Doctors at the minute. Says he is not going to report on the (Brighton) game, he just wants to watch it!"
Good luck Kevin and I hope you feel better soon, hope we meet up again soon, but perhaps not in the middle of the M1.
