  • Not sure what to make of things. As Ross1 says above, when we play out of form teams we don't take advantage. Yes, a point away from home is not a bad thing, but we said that against Rotherham & Brighton and most teams are putting them to the sword. I'd take a point if I was a Millwall fan tonight - 2-0 down with 10 men but Leeds are a team going nowhere & we should be trying to beat them, not just be happy with a draw.

Reading will be different gravy on sat & I cant see anything else apart from them getting themselves another 3-0 win. On a different note Saturday's game of the day sees the top2 playing each other.

I take it Doris was a no show?.

  • Blimey we've drawn 9!!
Turn a few into wins and we'd be near top.
We are where we are though and you have to be pretty happy with life as a cafc fan at the moment.
  • Only two losses, least in the whole league
  • Any point away is a decent result and being down to ten men even better

We'll done lads and all those that travelled up.
  • Decent point keeps us in touching distance of top 6. Nobody really wants to play us at the moment as we have certainly become a tough side to beat and take 3 points from. After becoming hard to beat, you strengthen the squad and work on winning the tight games. Compared to this time last year we've progressed massively. Far from finished article but I believe in Big Bob and the owners long term vision.
  • Interestingly Bob's sixteen games in charge have registered the same number of points (24) as Jose Riga's sixteen did.

    Great stat. Stolen!
  • Decent point considering it is away and our goalscorer is still not fit enough to start.

Gutted for Wiggins, another potential long term injury.

Sounds like the new kid and did the business though, hopefully he gets a start on Saturday.

Good debut from Onyewu too from the sounds of it, even if it was not in his prefered postion.

If we go into the January transfer window still a one or two good results off being in the Play-offs i will be delighted and then who knows if we add those couple of extra quality players we are missing.

Long game is great with me assuming Bob continues to get support from the owner but no harm in being a dreamer for some earlier glory, we are fans, its what we are meant to do.

Just got in from match. We were probably better team overall until we went down to ten men. Their second was an absolute peach, both of ours were pretty soft. Ben Haim went on an amazing run in the first half and Coq looked good, put in four decent tackles, all very well timed.
Leeds fans were quite funny, kept alternating between we are Leeds and champions of Europe chants. Made em sound like a bunch of geriatrics unsure of who they were remembering some past glory 50 years ago.
Wiggo looked like a bad one, was signalling to the bench to be subbed before he had stopped running. Overall we looked pretty much how we have all season, solid but not much going forward.

...Our penalty I'm not sure about but the ref definitely saw something...

I listened to that Leeds stream for some time after the match. Their two guys (possibly the dourest Scotsman in the world and the Dourest Yorkshireman) were obviously keen to be able to say to wasn't a pen, but kept reminding us that they hadn't seen the replay. After a while that fessed up that they'd spoken to the people who do video analysis for Leeds and they had said they had no complaints about the penalty.
  • forgot to say Onyewu looks bigger than Bikey. While I think it is going to be tough for him to get in the team, I don't think I have seen a scarier potential partnership. Monsters
  • Interestingly Bob's sixteen games in charge have registered the same number of points (24) as Jose Riga's sixteen did.

The big question is whether Peeters and the squad can push on from that? Convert draws into wins...to secure wins from bottom half teams.
The difference is that Riga ducked certain games to rest players whereas Peeters appears to try to max the result and performance every time.

    M. Duchatelet and Meire undefeated vs Millwall - that would be a good time to step up and return to winning ways!

  • To be fair to Leeds, they are "champions" of Europe assuming winning the second most important european cup 46 and 43 years ago count............

More deluded then a certain half of Sheffield's fans.
  • A decent enough point especially having been behind twice in what looks like being an even tighter league than normal. Just a pity that we can't turn a few more of these draws into wins. Nevertheless I would have certainly taken 9th at this point and we are certainly proving tough to beat.
  • Against Reading we will score 3 as that is what they are doing regularly and we will draw

When we get Igor back and playing we'll win games like tonight I think. Still not good to rely on him alone, but he was missing for both the 1st halves of the last 2 games, and the few games before that. We've held our own reasonably without him and JBG, but I'm confident once they're back in, we can win some of these draws

Interestingly, Le Coq made 16 passes when he come on with a 94% completion. Given we were under the cosh a fair bit in that period, I'm hopeful his ability to keep the ball will prove key over the next few games.

On this short cameo he looked decent, potentially better than we already have. Showed a couple of nice touches and looks like he has a right old tackle that he knows how to properly time. He could be a player to take a bit of pressure off the back four.

We ended up with cousins playing rb, igor rm, wilson lb and Onyewu up front on his lonesome. Not really the best opportunity to shine but he acquitted himself admirably.
  • Powelly got his tactics spot on tonight. You can see the boys playing their hearts out for him.

Where to start? We looked comfortable from the off but you are always going to be under some pressure from Leeds with an 18,000 crowd behind them. I didn't think they were anything special though and are a work in progress.

We were tidy but offered little offensively. Their 19 year old lad Mowatt is a special talent and stuck one in the left hand postage stamp to go one up. We upped the tempo and equalised with a trickle across the line from JBG, one of his best performances for us so far, just to confirm what many have said before, the boy has talent.

Having got ourselves level history seemed to repeat itself with Mowett again scoring but whether Henderson lost his footing I can't be sure but he never seemed to get off the ground.

We were then gifted a penalty for an every set play occurrence, shirt pulling I think and JBG dispatched it with aplomb.

Maybe we were a little fortunate to get a point but we never looked inferior and if only we had more of a cutting edge we could seriously challenge for the P word. COYRs
  • Just got home..... Good point

  • Why so much bold type tonight?!? And as for my appraisal - what @RedPanda‌ said ;-)

Why so much bold type tonight?!?

If you were there mods are changing everything you say into bold: beef curtains.

300 is a decent turn out. Leeds fans were fairly loud, albeit deluded as usual. We finished the game singing their 'we are the champions, the champions of europe!' chant. Tossers.

aside from one amusing saville retort their singing was firmly 60s based.

  • Sitting in my statistics class during the 2nd half. If we'd have found a winner I probably would have been sent to the administrator. I love a good comeback (or two) probably a fair result. Hope Igor is back in the starting 11 for the Reading game
