  • Wigan are a complete basket case of a club at the moment and only heading in one direction. Funny as when they were in the Prem I thought they were a good example of a small club well run and with the ability to stay where they were by being financially astute and not doing anything stupid (sound familiar?).

Fast forward a couple of years and they are 23rd in the second tier having paid 4.5 million for a player who they don't even bench and their owner can't wait to put his foot in it every time he opens his gob. Holt on load to Hudds is now out until next season as his knee is totally f*cked and they must be after more fire power in Jan. Will Whelan spend without selling first? I really doubt it and can see him holding his hands up and cutting his losses with Delort in order to bring some funds in. On paper they have a decent squad in my book but there is something seriously wrong there behind the scenes and it's clubs like that who get relegated rather than those who may just be short of a couple of players of enough quality.
  • Grant Holt is out for at least nine months. So I would be surprised if Delort was loaned to us.

Puts our problems into perspective somewhat.

So the only names that have come up so far are strikers who have totally failed at their current clubs, very encouraging. We may as well keep the money and carry on playing our own failed strikers.

You calling Igor *Played 16 Scored 8* a failure?
Sure he is misfiring at the moment but a decent partner or some assists may boost his confidence and bring the goals back.
  • Is he performing with Queen on the BBC at the moment?

Grant Holt has been at Huddersfield most of the season and Delort still couldn't get on their bench. Don't think Holt being injured changes anything with Delort to be honest with you.
  • Kvist would be a decent signing.

  • Bob Peeters admits in tpday's @SthLondonPress that he is still interested in Wigan striker Andy Delort.

There you go Prague Addick. STILL interested so he must have been interested before.

  • Wouldn't be the same without this bit though

Delort set to be loaned. Hasn't settled at Wigan. Wolves also keen.
